I have watched a Chaffee player really going insane, killed 5 tier 9s and did over 4k spotting damage.. too bad I am too lazy to get it from M5 Stuart :p oh and I was hoping to see more bloopers like that KV-4 you uploaded 4 days ago :p

Grimlii has really entertained me in this game. Grimlii got my 21 gun salute for an extremely excellent and smart game with this cute and lovely Chaffee. Grimlii showed in this game that you can outplay and outsmart higher tier tanks.Thank you for the replay QB.

that's any good scout tank though...it's when they decide to nerf the shit out of the tank is when people complain that it needs better matching (vk2801 comes to mind)

Finally a replay where we see some really good play, instead of just some average guy getting lucky with scrub enemies. He did make a mistake in the end of using the same bush multiple times when the Sfl. knew where he was shooting from. Never poke at the same place multiple times :)

Yep. Pz.Sfl has a very low ammo capacity. He might have even been completely out of ammo.

Exactly. Extremely low ammo capacity. But still if you play good, it's enough to be main power of team. But I had Pz.Sfl. and I run out of ammo only once thought ( I killed last enemy with my last round:D)

The constant auto-lock notifications were annoying, and I'm guessing replays don't show auto targeting correctly... still a good game.

if anyone is wondering, the bush mechanics about shooting at 15+ m from the bush is that you can't see anything if you are 15+ m from the bush and nothing in that direction could see you. but, if you are in the auto spotting range, that doesn't matter.

That bush is still my go-to starting position when starting south spawn. I was a bit surprised that he spotted the enemy scout, although looking again I don't think the T-50 was in the bush on that ridge - the one that's my go-to from the north spawn!

excellent display of light tank driving! I'd long loved the Chaffee, from long before WOT, so imagine my delight to find that it was available for me to use, even if only in a game. But when "scout" matching started to occur, well it wasn't that I didn't love the Chaffee less but decided to sell it because I, couldn't see how I could make significant contributions to the team. This video shows how wrong I was ... excellent play by Grimli, thanks for showing it!

Actually designated target works on every tank in a cone of 10 degrees from the reticle

Thank you for the good commentary too Quickfingers, for, I am going to save this video to my favourites and I am sure that after watching it another couple of times... how camouflage works in the game will be finally drilled correctly into my being, mind, spirit, even psyche - if you prefer. For how can you progress to gain a hint of blue and purple without knowing such mechanics and dynamics as that discussed? Peace

the bush trick, i try to teach every clanmember, but its hard work, but it so effectiv, destroyed an is and a churchill 7 with the deathtoaster nearly alone (well the long 8,8cm also helpeld to penn the churchil :-)

It's funny that Quicky should say the Chaffee fought like a bulldog. With the upcoming light tank changes and expanded rosters, there's a good chance that the tier 6 follow up tank will be the Walker Bulldog. I'm curious if the Chaffee will remain a tier 5 vehicle in an expanded roster. After all, it's so effective in high tier games that it may need to be moved up to tier 7 and have some weaker vehicles preceed it. That, or it might need to be nerfed so that the subsequent American light tanks won't be OP or seem unworthy as upgrades over the Chaffster.

This video also showcases the somewhat unintentional nerf to scout tanks when they released the newly redone "progressive fighting" maps. As shown here a scout can detect far off targets but the team behind him do not have a clear shot anymore since the terrain blocks their direct fire line on the targets. All that rolling terrain and the only real class that can take advantage of a long range spot from scouts is the artillery.

The Chaffee is a great tank, but extremely unforgiving. You make one mistake and your match will be cut short. Not only that but you can do tons of damage and do tons of spotting and still not turn a profit even without premium ammo, ha. It is a difficult tank to run, but can be very rewarding when you do well in a match you are insanely outclassed in.

I have very little faith in bushes. I've tried the pull back, make the bush be solid and I still get spotted. There is even bush on Malinovka that I've done a video on, two staggered bushes but yet overlapping and get spotted when pulling in to them.

veteran LT driver myself, i would've been more aggressive with that sfl at the end. get his attention from the far right bush, make him face the wrong way. then reposition to center hill taking care to avoid getting spotted. from there you're so close you can't miss. or if i'm feeling really stupid, bomb down hill and circle him to death like with the tiger.

I thought designated target was used to keep any target spotted visible for 2 more seconds by passive default, not an active skill you must target yourself. I had / have this on spg. I guess I should retrain. WoT descriptions can really use better info.

DT is only usefull on SPGs like the FV304, which can get close enough to an enemy tank to spot without being spotted. Bigger SPGs simply cannot use bushes to hide, since their camo rating is very poor when moving, and they get spotted through a bush (bushes are at best 66% camo) before they can see a tank in the middle of a field spotting them.

its best when u do magic whit the bushes and enemys players calls u hacker cus u didnt get spotted when u fire, happens to me always. thx for this replay,helped me alot, i use that same bush alot but i was too stupid to realize how to go there whitout getting spotted guys from mid ridge :D
