@Sanguine Hey, uh. The political commissars of the Soviet Union did not stand behind them, but often rushed first, because the Soviet Union was established after the overthrow of the serfdom of Tsarist Russia. Therefore, most of the Red Army soldiers are uneducated peasants and workers, lacking the discipline and military literacy of the army, so educated literati are allowed to serve as political commissars to undertake ideological work and military discipline management in the army. Political commissars will also take the lead in the battle during the war, so the casualty rate of Soviet political commissars during World War II was about 83%. There is a movie called "A Soldier Under the City". His director was a Frenchman, so he put the supervising team established by France during World War I on the Soviet political commissar. In that movie, the Soviet Union didn't seem to have many weapons and went to the battlefield with an ammunition clip. In fact, when the Soviet Union was defending Moscow, it actually had more weapons than people. Later, there were not enough Soviet soldiers and even let war criminals on the battlefield.

There's an interesting plot twist that was in the game which builds on this - It's funny the way they did it, it was quite subtle. Shaohao DID NOT cast off all his burdens. You can see how he has such confidence that he knows what's right, that his people are not ready, that HE must protect them. The last Sha you face in that expansion was the Sha of Pride - Shaohao never cast it off. It was the most powerful and dangerous of them all, and mechanically, interesting in the way that it targeted PLAYERS, not the CHARACTERS. Things like making all your allies look like enemies, telling you to "Show me your greatness" and mechanics where if you tried to do things yourself, you would make everyone else fail. Putting you in a maze where only your allies, who are invisible to you, can save you. Because of the mists, Pandaria was wholly unprepared for war. In their Pride, they only THOUGHT they were enlightened, prepared, and generally better than everyone else. But they never DEALT with their problems - they thought they already had it all figured out. Just like Shaohao.

It took the pandarens 10.000 years to learn the lesson of pride, because as the mists faded and the horde n' alliance came to their lands, they did not chase them away but instead welcomed them into their taverns, requested their aid and even allowed them entry into the valley of eternal blossoms. The mists parted exactly when the Pandarens needed help from the rest of the world, to deal with the mogu, the corrupted mantid and let's not forget the their biggest nightmare, The Thunder King - Garrosh brought war to their shores, violated their culture and brought death upon many, but he failed as well.

The reason why Jaina went from one of the biggest advocates for Peace between the Alliance and the Horde to asking Varian to dismantle the Horde in the last cinematic is because in between Warcraft 3 and World of Warcraft, she established a small city named Theramore in the main Horde Continent. While this is still an Alliance city, she did her best to make sure that actions against Horde were minimized as much as possible and used her city as a form of way for the Alliance and Horde to communicate with each other amicably. When Garrosh took over the mantle as Warchief when Thrall stepped down, one of the things he did was to ramp up aggressions against the Alliance and pushing for more and more wartime productions. One of these productions was the Mana Bomb which is basically a WMD. He tested this weapon by dropping it right in the middle of Theramore basically killing a lot of people that Jaina cared for even her own Mage Apprentice. In retalliation she basically went to Orgrimmar and threatened to sink it with a massive Tsunami but was stopped by cooler heads. Then she moved to the magical city of Dalaran as she is one of the Archmages, basically one of the head honchos of the place, which is mostly a neutral ground between the Alliance and Horde. Both can come there and walk in the streets so long as they keep politics and fighting out of the city proper and inside the special enclaves for the Horde and Alliance on opposite sides of the city should it come to it. The Horde basically betrayed her again by using their connections there to steal an artifact that the Alliance was hiding in their enclave which just pushed her to hate the horde even more.

Wow, so much propaganda... Someone didn't play wotlk... When the wrathgate incident occurred, Varian blamed the Horde (even tho he knew the Horde was also betrayed but Alliance pricks you know) and decided that he would exterminate all of it. After that, Cataclysm occurs and Theramore is used as a military point, a lot of the Alliance military is dispatched in Kalimdor (and more precisely in the Barrens which are just next to Orgrimmar, the Horde capital) Garrosh who could not let that pass (The Alliance were trying to destroy the Mulgore's gates leading to ThunderBluff, the biggest tauren city and one of the most important cities of the Horde) decided that he would destroy the problem by the roots. (Mana-nuke Theramore) He then waited for days to ensure that most civilians escaped to be sure that he killed only soldiers and fighters, Garrosh wanted to kill the ability to wage war of the Alliance. I'm part of those who say that Garrosh did nothing wrong (well at least until Blizzard fuck him up because the community didn't like him) but Garrosh was definitely not the bad guy here in that situation.

Ooo I can't wait for Warlords of Draenor, Legion, and Battle for Azeroth. Not only are there more of the painterly videos, but the in game cinematics step up massively aswell. Garrosh(the bad guy) in the 2 last cinematics here is kind of like a taste of the quality going forward, because I'm not sure if you noticed but Garrosh's face has alot more animation put into it than all the other characters, and thats because this was at the moment when they were working on updating all the old character models to a modern standard, so while everyone else had flappy stiff jaws and basically unmoving eyes Garrosh had a full face rig. Thats how it'll be going forward now. You saw some of it with the Illidan animations earlier aswell.

41:12 The woman there is Lady Jaina Proudmoore one of the most powerful mages in warcraft. At the time of this cutscene she hated the horde for nuking a city she led called Theramore, with a mana bomb, it was sad really because she was the biggest advocate for peace between the Horde and Alliance. She lost a lot in that bombing including her apprentice who meant quite a bit to her and with that her views made a 180 regarding the horde. Honestly I cannot blame her. Hey! I'm back again with a little story time! So... Garrosh Hellscream. Originally, hw wasn't a the Warchief of the Horde, that was Thrall (the orc who was about to execute him when Varian stopped him). Thrall is also a shaman and he sensed that something was afoot right before the Cataclysm hit (that would be the cinematic with the giant dragon, Deathwing, from the previous WoW video). Thrall left to investigate and left Garrosh in charge of the Horde. This seemed like a good idea at the time because: 1. Garrosh is the son of Grommash Hellscream, a hero to the orcs, so many people in the Horde looked up to him. 2. Garrosh was in charge of the campaing in Northrend agains the Lich King, so he's a war hero. 3. Cairne and Vol'jin were there to give him guidance if necessary. Cairne, Vol'jin and even Garrosh himself thought this was a very bad idea. Garrosh was rash, hot-headed and stubborn to a fault. Thrall, however, bet on the fact that the mantle of leadership and the responsibilities it brought with it would mellow Garrosh's tendencies. Plus, Cairne and Vol'jin were still there with him. What could go wrong? Initially, it appeared that Thrall's gamble had paid off: Garrosh tried reaching out to the Alliance to end the war that started at the tail end of the campaign against the Lich King and was even negotiating with the night elves about land and resource exploitation rights in Ashenvale Forest. That was when disaster struck. A group of Old God cultists, disguised as Garrosh's soldiers, ambushed one of these negotiations which angered Cairne so much that he challenged Garrosh to Mak'gora (ritual combat for the title of Warchief). Unbeknownst to him, Garrosh's aide poisoned his weapon before the fight, so all it took to kill Cairne was a single shallow cut. This angered Vol'jin, and he outright threatened Garrosh that he would murder him. So we have a young, hot-headed orc, who wants to live up to his father's legacy, whoses reputation is smeared by his enemies and his most trusted allies abandon him (and even turn against him). Despite all of that, Garrosh still wanted to wage a "gentleman's war" (for example, he threw one of his generals off a cliff when said general dropped the WoW equivalent of a nuke on a school). The war, however, was quickly turning against the Horde. Despite stellar gains in Ashenvale, Stonetalon and Hillsbrad, the Alliance was still sitting on large piles of natural resources and manpower the Horde could not match. So Garrosh grew increasingly more desperate as time went on. When he heard that the Alliance was using Theramore (which was supposed to be a neutral port) as a staging ground for the invasion of Kalimdor, he dropped the WoW equivalent of a nuke on the city. While it did take care of one problem, it further antagonised Garrosh towards the more moderate sections of the Horde. This is when we arrive at Pandaria. A land rich in resources, fresh manpower in the form of the natives and ancient secrets that might help Garrosh bolster his troops to at least balance the scales if not tip them in the Horde's favour. The methods used to gain this power, however, unleashed the Sha, the living embodiment of negative emotions plaguing the land of Pandaria (sidenote: the reason why the Sha are in Pandaria is because when the Titans ordered Azeroth, they ripped one of the Old Gods out of the planet, who, with its dying breath, cursed the land). Garrosh didn't seem to care about the destruction, in fact he even played with the idea of utilising the Sha against the Alliance (which didn't turn out well). Vol'jin grew increasingly wary of Garrosh's conduct so he set out on one of the expeditions to explore the powers that might give an edge to the Horde against the Alliance. Garrosh had Vol'jin assassinated in that expedition. The attempt failed, and Vol'jin led a rebellion against Garrosh and all other leaders in the Horde threw their lot in with him. This left Garrosh with only his orc supporters which is why he was desperately searching for something that would help him fight his enemies (see: the cinematic where he fights Taran Zhu). Ultimately, he is defeated as the Horde rebels and the Alliance team up against him and the war ends as showcased in the last cinematic.

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames Yes and no. I liked the version of him in Cataclysm (the one who demands results from his generals but will punish them for dishonourable conduct). I would have wanted Mists to focus more on the aspect of him being a leader in a tough situation, fighting a war he can't win in the long run but has to try or else his people might die out (he even has a voice line saying "I won't let my people starve in the desert"). The story that we got was decent I think, I just wish the Alliance didn't have a spectator role in it (and I say that as a Horde main).

I feel like Mists of Pandaria wasn't received as well by the playerbase as some of the previous expansions, like Wrath of the Lich King...but I LOVED it. I didn't come into WoW until the expansion after this one, Warlords of Draenor, but when I was playing all the old stuff getting my character ready for what was "current" at the time I absolutely ADORED my time in Pandaria. Even with what's come after, I think it had the most beautiful zones to explore and quest in. The story was great, of a long-running war between two nations clashing in a new land where emotions held power and their shared hate could bring rise to devastation at the hands of the Sha (elemental spirit beings serving as incarnations of malevolent feelings like Doubt, Despair, and Anger). It just had so much gravity to it, and all in all was a beautiful story. And yeah, Garrosh Hellscream is definitely a great villain haha. I'm so glad you enjoyed the Burdens. It's a great rendition of classic moral lessons that definitely get a bit overlooked these days. I'm SUPER excited for you to get into the next two expansions, Warlords of Draenor and Legion. These are the parts of the game when I was most active and had such a great time in World of Warcraft. The Lords of War and Harbingers miniseries accompany Warlords of Draenor and Legion as lore-building info about some of the key characters, much as the Burdens of Shaohao did for Mists of Pandaria. I think the best standalone lore cinematics are in Battle for Azeroth, though. I never actually played the expansion, as my attention had fallen off and I'd quit the game towards the last part of Legion's run, but I followed the cinematic releases with great interest lol. The Warbringers miniseries is just awesome. I can't wait for you guys to continue your journey through WoW's rich history. :D As always, thanks for doing what y'all do and I hope you have a great time with everything you're checking out!

There's a truly lovely quest chain in the game where you walk along side a spirit that eventually reveals itself to be Shao Hao, talking about his youth and his experiences with the emotions represented by the Sha, all setting up the most dangerous one that you as players encounter, the Sha of Pride. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/acWoldte2Jyskmw.html Chen in the cinematic is great - he is doing exactly what he describes. He fought to preserve balance (he was just fighting to stalemate them) and bring harmony (to make them stop fighting each other). Damn, Mists was so good in hindsight. When they announced it people flipped their shit, including me, didn't want the Pandas, they were a meme character in Warcraft 3, they're just pitching for the Chinese market, etc. But they really did a great job with story and theme, better than most expansions.

Yeah I'm seeing this resurface in a lot of those reaction videos. People think these cutscenes are the whole game. They don't realize they're essentially just watching mini-clips and trailers. Sometimes those clips omit 40 hours of character development and can shock the viewers watching them in random order. Like, who is that? Why is it there now? What led to this? Thankfully I like how most of the BfA cutscene videos are all happening after the whole story, so not MUCH is missed.

Emperor Shaohao's story doesn't quite end there. Near the end of the expansion, you can get the quest "The Old Seer" from Lorewalker Cho, who asks you this: "I can help you collect the pieces of a story, but it is up to you to tie them together. And I may know just where you could do such a thing. I have heard tales of an elderly scholar named Seer Hao Pham Roo. He is something of an... expert on Pandaria's history, and may be able to shed light on Pandaria's current turmoil. Seek him out, . Last I heard, he was planning to retrace the emperor's steps by scaling Mount Neverest, in Kun-Lai." When you find Seer Hao Pham Ro, he will give another quest called "Path of the Last Emperor" and tells you this: "In his time of uncertainty, the last emperor walked a lonely path up this mountain, until he had at last found his answers. I am here to walk the same path, and it seems you have questions of your own to be answered. Perhaps you will join me, and we can both be satisfied? Oh, but I am getting old, and this blizzard is proving too much for my bones. Could you climb ahead and anchor this rope? I can hoist myself along from there. Together we shall walk the path of the last emperor." As you progress towards the summit he says this: "Heh, do not get angry with the elements. Violence is their nature. I conquered my own anger long, long ago." "My, you are strong! When I was young, I might have doubted that we could do this. But now, I have no doubts at all." "Such wind! Such cold! Once, it would have filled these old bones with despair. But on this day, I am filled with hope." "Such a patient one! When I was young, I would have hated this task. Nowadays, I am filled with love." "Do not fear the heights, as I did when I was young. Fear can drive us to terrible deeds. Ah, but I see that like me, you have learned the lessons of courage!" Upon reaching the summit: "Ah, here we are. Oh - oh, these old bones are tired. More than you can imagine. You surprised me. I expected a hero such as yourself to balk at the task of carrying an old man up a mountain. Most are too proud." "I was going to teach you a lesson but instead, it is you who have taught me. You see, when I was young... when I was young... when I was young... I was EMPEROR." The seer's voice deepens and a flash of green light surrounds him as he grows in size and rises into the air to reveal his true form: the spirit of Emperor Shaohao! Emperor Shaohao says: "The realm you see all around you was mine to command." "I conquered my doubts, my fears, my anger... I buried all of it within the land." "But I held on to one vice. The one sha I never conquered. PRIDE." "My pride cloaked this land in mists! I thought we were better than the rest of the world." "I thought we could solve our own problems. But for ten thousand years, we stagnated, our doubts and fears buried in the land, rising up to fester whenever we allowed them." "Pride. It is the most insidious of sha. It is good until it is bad. And then it is more dangerous than all the others combined." "Beware of Pride! Be humble! The world is plunging into chaos. Old enemies must work together. Proud races must admit they need help." "Things are going to get worse before they get better. Only by working together can we overcome the darkness." "All that stands in our way... is pride." The emperor breathes his last words into the winds as he bows and fades away. ("Seer Hao Pham Roo" is an anagram of "Emperor Shaohao") Upon beating Garrosh (the final boss of the expansion) you can the quest "Why Do We Fight?". It wraps up the Mists of Pandaria storyline, with the reward being a cutscene between the player, Lorewalker Cho, Emperor Shaohao, and the August Celestials. Lorewalker Cho: "Oh my friend, today you and your companions have put an end to the sha that has plagued Pandaria since before time was recorded. You have accomplished that which even the titans and their mogu servants could not: destroying the last breaths of Y'Shaarj. Come, will you join me in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms? There is something I would like you to bear witness to. My my - this is all that remains of the terrible being that haunted Pandaria all these years. Whatever darkness it once exuded is silent at last. Come with me, hero. Let us return to the Vale. There is someone I think who would be particularly interested in this turn of events, if we can get his attention." And then when you get to the Vale of Eternal Blossoms he adds: "Our precious Vale of Eternal Blossoms. So much destruction and violence. But... I sense a glimmer of hope." Then you get this cutscene (which concludes the story of Emperor Shaohao): kzfaq.info/get/bejne/aZ6gaZuHmt2XcYE.html&ab_channel=MMO-Champion I hope you like it!

I'm excited for you to start Lords of War and Warlords of Draenor cinematics. You actually see Garrosh's father in them since the expansion takes place in an alternate timeline that Garrosh goes back to. Draenor is the homeworld of the Orcs and he goes back 35 years in the past so his father as well as the other famous Orcs of that time are alive. Garrosh Hellscream is the son of Grommash Hellscream for future reference, and you'll be seeing alot more of him as well. Keep in mind that Garrosh was once an honorable and good leader of the Horde who essentially was corrupted from the dark energies Shao Hao mentioned known as the Sha. I'm only touching up on this since I dont see many others in the comment section touching up on it.

There was actually one vice that Emperor Shaohao kept to himself: Pride. His pride that Pandaria should be isolated from the world, and were too proud to seek aid from the other races, only tending for themselves, actually festered and made the people stagnant. So even though he overcame Doubt, Fear, Anger, Despair, Violence, and Hatred, Pride remains. And Pride became the strongest of the Sha

I feel like there needs to be a bit more context here. Dalaran is a neutral city of mages called the Kirin Tor, led by an archmage and their council. Within the city the Horde and Alliance have separate districts, operated by elves that used to be the same people. - The blood elves operate the Horde sector and is led by archmage and council member Aethas Sunreaver. - The Alliance sector is led by ranger general Vereesa Windrunner and the high elves under her command. Vereesa is married to the leader of the mages' council Rhonin and have two kids with him. - Jaina Proudmoore is an archmage of the Kirin Tor, but not part of the ruling council. In the pre-expnasion event leading up to Mists of Pandaria the Horde under Garrosh blows up Jaina Proudmoore's city Theramore, along with her apprentice, many of the Alliance's best commanders and Rhonin (who saves Jaina from being blown up). - Rhonin was in Theramore as a mostly neutral observer, but sacrificed himself when the mana bomb dropped to limit the explosion to just the city, instead of blowing up the entire peninsula. (which saved his wife, who was scouting outside the city.) Jaina goes mad with grief and uses a magical artifact to boost her powers and almost drowns Orgrimmar, the Horde capital, in a huge tidal wave. She is convinced not to, barely, by her friend Thrall (former warchief of the Horde) and her bf Kalecgos. Friendship ended with Thrall though, and Jaina still has big time PTSD. Enter *Mists of Pandaria (patch 5.0)* : The Horde and Alliance players arrive in Pandaria and help Admiral Taylor (blonde human) and General Nazgrin (green orc) to build up bases and recruit locals to fight for them. The Horde recruit the Hozen (the Monkey King was a hozen), the Alliance recruit the Jinyu. Because negative emotions can manifest as malign entities called Sha in Pandaria, when they start a big battle at the statue of the Jade Serpent, the Sha of Doubt manifests, in a size that the Pandaren thought were just stories. (Why Doubt and not Anger, I don't know.) The statue is destroyed, and we have to clean up the mess we made. (The Jade Serpent, who is growing old, was going to use the statue to reincarnate into a young cloud serpent, so good job, Taylor, Nazgrim and players...) In patch *5.1, Landfall* , the main Horde and Alliance fleets arrive in Pandaria and set up bases in Krasarang Wilds, and of course start to fight each other. With Rhonin dead, Jaina is elected to lead the Kirin Tor council and therefore Dalaran. Although still grieving, she accepts, and allow Aethas Sunreaver and the blood elves to remain, hoping that Dalaran and the Kirin Tor can serve as an example that coexistence between the Horde and Alliance is possible. Vereesa is not happy and wants the Horde kicked out of Dalaran for killing her husband and the city's former leader. However, Garrosh is seeking a new weapon to use against the Alliance. He comes across the Divine Bell, a powerful pandaren artifact, and sends the Horde to get it. The Alliance gets if first though, and decide to hide it away from Garrosh in the night elf capital Darnassus (which is situated in a giant tree out in the sea, so not easy to get to). The Horde then uses the magic portals in Dalaran to sneak a team into Darnassus and steal the Divine Bell. Leading the team is the Horde player and Aethas friend, archmage (but not kirin tor member) Rommath. Garrosh gets the bell, and Anduin almost gets killed when he and the Alliance player tried to take it back. Jaina finds out that the Horde used the portals in Dalaran to steal the Divine Bell, a breach both of her trust and the city's neutrality in faction conflicts, and has had it. She imprisons Aethas Sunreaver and orders the Horde out of Dalaran and anyone not leaving will be imprisoned. If they try to fight, they will be killed. Vereesa thinks she's too lenient and wants to kill all the Horde in Dalaran, period. (Ingame, if you follow Jaina around she walks around with two big water elemental and either teleports Horde NPCs away to the prison, or kills them. Vereesa also gives you a few quests, and she's very up front about "if you see a Horde member, kill them".) In patch *5.2, The Thunder King* , the Horde and Alliance districts of Dalaran each sends people to the Isle of Thunder to deal with a resurrected tyrant from Pandaria's past. Leading the Alliance forces is Jaina Proudmoore and Vereesa Windrunner. Leading the Horde forces is Lor'themar Theron, leader of the Blood Elves, and Aethas Sunreaver, who was rescued from Dalaran by Horde forces. Varian Wrynn, king of Stormwind, is upset with Jaina, because he had been opening negotiations with the blood elves about returning to the Alliance, because Garrosh is treating the non-orcs of the Horde like crap and Lor'themar is not happy about it. Then the Divine Bell incident and the purge of Dalaran happens, putting that hope in the grave. Jaina replies that she doesn't care anymore. She had reached out a hand by letting the blood elves stay in Dalaran, even after Theramore, and was stabbed in the back again. She does not trust anyone from the Horde any longer. Despite this, during a tense standoff between Jaina, Vereesa and Lor'themar along with a small retinue of Horde/Alliance troops and the player, Taran Zhu, leader of the Shado-Pan monks, manage to get them to go separate ways without fighting. It's not much, but it's something. Which bring us to *5.3, Siege of Orgrimmar* Garrosh gives up any pretense about caring about anyone else than the orcs, fights Taran Zhu in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms, severely wounding him. He then tips the heart of an Old God (the source of the Sha) into the magic-infused waters of the vale and destroy a large part of it. A rebellion against Garrosh is instigated by Vol'jin and Baine, leaders of the trolls and tauren within the Horde. The Horde and Alliance work, not exactly together but at least side by side, to bring down Garrosh and his loyalists. Cue the cutscene at the end. Jaina, still not trusting the Horde, argues for dismantling it. Ergo, separate the peoples of the horde into their separate sub-factions to prevent them from forming a unified threat again. Given her experiences, it is a reasonable suggestion. Varian does not take her suggestion though. Conversation (via npc text) reveals that he thinks the Alliance doesn't have the resources to dismantle the Horde properly, as it would require Alliance garrisons in all the Horde lands to enforce the separation, and they have neither the manpower nor the money to do that for long. (His actual words as you click on him after you defeat Garrosh is as follows: (Option 1) What's next for the Alliance? We are unified like never before. We've bought our people security in Kalimdor, an end to the blockade, and an end to the total war that's split so much blood on either side of the great sea. Now, to the work of winning the peace. I would like to station a garrison near Theramore. We need to investigate the cleansing the plague from Gilneas lands so they can rebuild. We must contain Sylvanas. From here on forward, the Alliance will be proactive. Never again can there be another the likes of Hellscream. (Option 2) Why not keep fighting? I understand your desire to inflict more suffering on the Horde. But when do we stop? How many more Alliance will number among the dead if we invaded Thunder Bluff, Azshara, and the Echo Isles? And how would we govern the conquered people? The Pandarens always question why we fight. Today, we've won justice, and have given the Horde an opportunity to atone by supporting their rebellion. Further bloodshed would be for vengeance alone - and it would reap vengeance in return.)

Great reaction!...WOW has had a very strong mythology since the original Warcraft game in the early 90s...lots of great memories and hour and hours of fun...it is also the first game I played that had a significant female player base and It was great to be able to talk to girls about WOW and not sound like a looser...In fact some of the best memories with my wife was WOW...we were an unbeatable tank/healer duo.

There's actually one more very important and official Mists of Pandaria cinematic you missed. It's called "Bottoms Up" and is less than a minute long. Here's the link: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/oNWeZ6qHltuXpYE.html

Garrosh (the big bad orc) was the greatest warchief to ever live. But due to unfortunate circumstances, abandonment from his mentor Thrall (the orc with the hammer) and poor choices because of this, he ultimately ended up becoming corrupted. The Warcraft world has alternate timelines that run parallel with the one which players take part in (where Garrosh is bad). In all other timelines, Garrosh leads the horde and Azzeroth into a golden era never before seen.

Don't know if someone mentioned this, but the cinematic trailer where they fight the pandaren and the human gives an orc a weapon to unite against him, is actually like the first warcraft 3 trailer, when the infernal comes down like a meteor and they cease their fighting to confront an unknown new threat. The devil you know...

The Pandaren had a little bit of presence back in Warcraft 3, which was way before Kung Fu Panda. Then Kung Fu Panda released. Then Mists of Pandaria released, and applied a lot of the elements of Kung Fu Panda to the already existing, although not very fleshed out, Pandaren in the Warcraft universe.

Not sure if you read comments to these old videos anymore, but you did say that Jaina had "Crazy eyes". Now that you have seen her in all her later videos maybe have a look at what led up to her being this hateful at this point in time. She started as a loving person, thinking Peace was always an option and the goal to strive for no matter what. She even stepped aside as her Father tried to defeat the orcs (partly because he thought the orcs had kidnapped Jaina and because he was kinda racist towards the Orcs based on how they had invaded the human kingdoms before. It can be hard to love the ones who slaughtered your people. This is what they show in her Warbringers cinematic that you watched a while ago). Anyway, what brought her over the edge and really broke her emotionally and almost mentally was the "Bombing of Theramore" which happened as a lead-up to this Mist of Pandaria expansion. This was all told in the book "Tides of War". The KZfaqr Krucial made a video summarizing the book. Loads of names that you have never heard and that doesn't really matter outside of that story, but it is a very detailed (almost too detailed) explanation of all that happened and what impated Jaina to such a degree that she is now asking for the Horde to be wiped out. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/aKuWfrZlx8zTo30.html After you have watched that, Khayllys made a Machinima Music video of the more crucial parts. Very emotional. Dunno about any Copyrights to the music in the video but maybe reach out to her about it. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hM2KnpZy2p_Onas.html During the expansion (after her hometown of Theramore got bombed and she went proper ballistic) the Blood Elfs living in the Mage city of Dalaran stole an artifact which almost caused the death of Anduin (who Jaina sees as her nephew) and as she finds out that the Blood Elfs have done this, the Blood Elfs that are part of the Horde (which again fuels her hatred towards the Horde) she kinda starts a genocide of the Horde mages in Dalaran. Relevant Cinematics summarized here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/sLJio9Z4nM_ak3U.html

I know this is a super old video, but I thought I would throw this bit of trivia out there. The pandaren came about as an April fools Joke in 2002. This was before the release of Wow vanilla. Blizzard put up a message on their website that the "pandaren" would be the 5th race for Warcraft 3:Reign of Chaos. The post was intended to be a prank for laughs. However, it became a long stranding inside joke which led to them being released into the game. The idea of the pandaran were around long before Kung Fu Panda.

Pandareans were added to Warcraft3 somewhere before 2003 and KungFu Panda the movies was released in 2008 - not saying that the movie didn't really inspire the Mist of Pandaria though which was relesed in 2012.

During this expansion, Vol'jin kept pushing for honor and Garrosh betrayed him and had someone nearly kill him, but he survived because trolls have the ability to regenerate and Vol'jin was also blessed by their gods (Loa) many years ago and has an even more powerful regeneration. Because of his honor and willingness to stand up against Garrosh, they were able to defeat him. This is why Vol'jin became Warchief at the end.
