What do you get when you take a Buffalo down to tier 9, slap on some torps, and nerf all the rest? Exactly, a "discount Buffalo", the latest member of the "crate cruiser" class of ships that look like you might get them in events on the surface, but really, are just available via loot crates. Well, all that aside, is she any good, then?

It's a discount Buffalo and will meet the real one in battle, the only reason I dislike the ship is that WG puts her to T9 not T8 and removes smoke generator, her position is kinda like a joke when considering the only way to get is crate again

Get the black Iowa on the shipyard for resources... better deal... really this kind of event aren't pleasant in any way... Saw a couple of them in battle this weekend not impressed... good review Terry as always😊

Got one last night, first time opening a crate with the key I got for free somehow playing my tier 5 Petrovsky….I’m happy as it’s a bit of a jump up…damn the equipment prices are dear at this tier though!! Cheers for the review Tel 👍👍

Terry , the end of that last battle raises a possible topic when you mentioned dodging the carrier planes. It would be interesting to what tactics should be used to reduce the effects of bomber & torpedo attacks if you are one of the last ships on your team or your mates on a flank have been sunk leaving you alone.

It's always good to know what they're capable of, although I sometimes struggle to remember some of the more exotic premiums

Just picked this up in the current shipyard! 20 steel 15 platinum seems good & it came with a camo🥰

It's 20 steel and 10 platinum and there is no camo. Shipyard ships always are bare, you would need to buy for gold in the rare boxes to get a package.

Probably had the camo from before. I noticed I had the camo too. So I got it. I have so many premium camo I wait for the ships to come in th ship yard to grab them.

In Europe there is a guarantee that you get the ship for „only“ 25 crates. Thanks 4 the excellent presentation.

Personally, I think it's a mechanic to get more people used to opening crates. I'm also really not in favour of hiding the drop rates behind the info button. Looking at the chances, you're basically buying silver and blueprints with gold, with a miniscule chance to get a premium ship. Not going to tell anyone not to do it. Personally, I won't waste my gold, but it's everyone's decision. You do get gold for free through Blitz pass over time.

@@FunandGameswithTerry I agree when I first saw the drop rates I had a good laugh because even if you do get a ship the ships aren't that good and as you say it is just a waste of gold which could be used for many other things that will help you in the long run.

Buy ship port slots, buy historical paints on your favorite most often played ships, or save up for a good premium ship that is sold for a fixed price. Those would just be miles better use of your hard earned gold than mere opening gamble boxes.

Terry, can you revisit those ship now that it’s in the shipyard and I think US cruisers have had some buffs. AA if I recall. Is it better enough to spend resources on?

Yeah, I'll be taking a look at the shipyard to see what's new. There have been some AA buffs on the USN line in 7.1, unfortunately, not much on my favourite Des Moines. But good point, I'll need to talk about those changes more explicitly.

That's pretty much the summary of all the feedback I've seen. She's T8 on PC, I can only benevolently imagine she's T9 here because they based her off the Buffalo. There's a nastier explanation, but I'll leave that as an exercise to the reader. Personally, I'd rather take a Baltimore.

Great another ship that I'm never going to be able to sail not even in my wildest dreams..... Just what this game needed awesome stuff. I simply don't get why do they have to tag this ships so high I've been playing World of Tanks (The PC version) and an sporadic player of the regular PC version of WOWS for years and for the price of one Tier IX ship of what for all intents and purposes is a chop down version of a PC game I could purchase 4 tier VIII tanks (that is the highest available premium vehicles in the game) I'm pretty sure they would sell way more of these ships if they just lowered their cost. In my opinion the Blitz version should be way cheaper than the regular one but what do I know....

I used to play world of tanks blitz and the price for good tanks there was not even a fraction of average premium ships price in this world of warships blitz. Same blitz version, but price is just simply insane for wows blitz.

Baltimore with aa setup and teaming with t8cv was ok grind.. why would someone pay lot of money for a worse ship 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I kinda want to like this ship, but she's really just ... average, and doesn't fit the meta for USN CAs imo. I generally struggle to see the point in T9 premiums - why would I pay a lot for a ship that'll suffer from the T9-10 gap? Maybe except for something like Benham

That second camo has a bit of backstory on PC so Wargaming NA asked Two Community Contributors Little Whit mouse (I just forgot the second one) to design a ship for Canada day 2020 and they spent more than a year designing this ship which was the Yukon and that second camo was suppose to be for the Yukon but wargaming just copy-pasted the camo on the Anchorage It gets better so they designed a ship for more than a year and when the ship was announced the ship was not even the same ship they designed it was a insult and just a slap in the face, so then PC lost most of its CC,s So imagine this wargaming asks you to design a ship for Australia and you spend more than a year on the ship and then when the ship is announced it’s nothing that you designed and a ship gets one of those camouflage,s you designed

This game is so bugged and overpriced!, you get stuck in the middle of the ocean time and time again. And 100 usd for a virtual ship made of code and graphics...what a joke!
