One thing to keep in mind when planning these videos... When someone like myself searches for advice on positioning, or angling or whatnot it usually means I am fairly new to that type of ship. This means I have something like a Tier 3-5. Then when I find your video and you start off by saying "Here I am in the Tier 10 Montana" I switch off and look for another video that is more my level. It occurs to me that if you made it to a Tier 10 Montana you are already pretty dern good at Battleships. Why not do this video in a lower Tier that can not dunk shells from 30 km?

After several years of player, I noticed that whenever a random dd or ca on your flank decides to throw, the bbs are the ones usually being punished the most

Kinda have to agree with some others here, it would be cool if you did a similar video that covers how you play a BB at mid tiers (say T5 & T6).

Getting a Deadnought should be your objective every match as a BB. Making the most of your health pool is key to good BB play.

Early to the video. Thank you for posting this, I needed reassurance on how I play. I push in, I love to brawl. But the issue is nobody else likes to push with me. So, I just sit in the back and lose because my team doesn't push.

A really cool match, thx 4 sharing. Wish one would get more of those matches these times. Btw. the gimmick of the Montana os the volume of heal and decent armor that was exceptionally helpful here. A Yapanese, French or British BB would not have been able to turn around that match

The problem though is that each nations battleships have diffrent strengths and weaknesses. The biggest one though is the artillary plotting room upgrades for the american battleships. Pretty much a free big accuracy and range boost that other nations dont have. Japanese battleships have good range and damage, british battleships have high damage AP and ludicrous heal while germans have very good secondaries but suffer at ranged fighting due to shell dispersion and damage.

Teamwork is the most important, pittely that lacks mostly.

I always push my BB, its danger close, area of influence for me. If I die early so be it, at least I died at the front, unlike a percentage of ships per round who choose to perish in the rear.

Years ago, there were plenty of matches especially mid-tier where all the ships just rush forward and have CQC....numerous guns blazing, secondaries everywhere, hordes of torpedoes from DDs & RTS CV and plenty of ramming.....utter chaos but was a lot of fun. Nowadays. some players act as if they are literally on the ship, if ship goes BOOM, they also goes kaput IRL. Games were supposed to be fun, winning & losing is normal in game.. Now its just FUBAR... & WG should appreciate their graphic design team, it is literally what keeps most of the player in the game.

Just based on how hard you bullied that constellation, I think it should get a slight amour change. It's just too big a target to get such poor armour at tier 8.

there is knowing where everything is, or not running into something blind. Then are you covered or are others covered by you Remember always drive in straight lines especially when you know a DD is around hunting you.

Great info, especially as most of the BB videos are before the commander changes and other recent changes. I really think 98% of the WoW videos should be replaced with current info. Especially being a new player, it's not helpful having/using old info. I've been learning a lot more from your most recent videos, even though the older ones are still fun to watch!!

It is simple. Stay as far from combat as possible, occasionally firing with your spotter plane. When most of the people are dead on your team, you either go all in or just go next to your aircraft carrier for support.

The whole problem is how your teammates will waste the opportunities you create while soaking up damage. Either you die to getting focused and perma fired while your teammates do jack shit and still manage to die, which is the most likely option, or you get teammates who run away when they see you getting killed and go “Thank god that’s not me, now let me get outta here before that is me”

TLDR Hope rng let's you shots hit and dont completely disperse. Hope rng gives you competent teammates .

"Had a really good team this match." Well, there's the problem. First sign of resistance on the Asia server your team either books it to the back of the map or just yolo's in and dies in 2.5 seconds. You could be tanking like you were in this match and your team will be too scared to fire or just run away. I haven't not seen a blow out match on the Asia server in like a year.

How to BB? First rule: Hate CVs!

Best thing when using battleship is doing a distraction shot on cruiser or dd from your team and scoring a random citadel hit on the process...

I have just unlocked Kremlin, and that thing rewards positioning really well.

I like to brawl, don’t like hanging back and sniping them. So always find myself too far too fast with the rest of the time hiding if behind islands. I die a lot.

it’s sad That a ter x dd is worth a 8 9 or 10 dd that is french JAPANESE or possibly Soviet. Disclaimer the gunboats are the op ones because most of them can stay at range and spam a bb or even most ca’s without return damage. however most Soviet/British dds are ok and the USA did need some major buffs

People who watch this channel are probably a above average players anyway. Really wish those sea monkeys can watch this video.

Everything goes smoothly when a your team has players who know the objective and execute winning properly but when people go their own way shit starts to hit the fan really quick. Each ship has a purpose play it as so. You can rush in with a BB and try and tank it through but if your playing random battles destroyers and cruisers with torps will have a wonderful time having a chicken shoot with you. Like a lion and zebra just one out in the open is no problem but in a heard it can be an issue. Or like a lion and a wolf, wolves hunt in packs if your a singpe lion a group of wolves could kill it but if your smart wesr the lion down bit by bit piece by piece chunk by chunk and slowly but surely eventually you'll get to that lovely core o death. Apply nature's law of natural selection to world of warships or world of tanks or warthunder even world of warplanes but nobody really plays that. Still be smart but play the objective it will always lead to success if it's good enough it may lead to a draw it's only because the time runs out sometimes you definitely would win if the time hadn't stopped. I want their to be a game mode where it's like a whole ass battle like you can respawn and comeback in take objectives destroy land targets all that fun stuff support landing troops but something more immersive

You left out the USN improved dispersion mod, you were right not to pop your fighters, that Moskva would have slapped them immediately. Personally I think YTs make these videos so that their opponent become more predictable. In their minds "I see you have learnt my style but I have not taught you all tricks. Let school commence."

Destroyer captains suck at lv 5 an higher . So you forced to scout with your battleships. That gets them exposed to enemy fire at close range . An when you ask destroyer captains to scout. They ram you or start shooting your ship . Anything except doing what a destroyer captain is supposed to do . Carrier's are just as bad .

16:44 - How were you shooting at that CV that whole time without being spotted back?? He had line of sight to you with no smoke inbetween or anything well within your gun range as you were actively shooting at him... Yet you stayed in stealth?... even as your spotting range in the mini map bloomed out to match your gun range per the normal as well?... So confused.

It's hard to carry in a battleship. You can only take 3 or 4 decisions per minute... max....

BB are becoming obsolete in this game. Cruisers destroyers and CVs are where the game is at now at this point they might as well add modern day ships with missiles. I find I'm playing my crusiers more and finding there why more deadly then any BB
