Welcome to the club, when the commonwealth Cruisers were announced I was excited to see HMCS Ontario in game as possibly a T8, seeing as she was a development of the Figi class, HMCS Prince Henry could have worked as the T2 or T3 of the line, and would have been a cool addition and nod to the role of the Commonwealth as a whole as merchantmen and the escorts of such. I'm sure the other Commonwealth countries are also salty that we had CAs forced on us when combined I think there was 6 CAs in the entire Commonwealth, as Britain had no faith in CAs, so they didn't really build any. When they do a Commonwealth DD line, Canada is already fucked because our two most important DDs are already in the game as premiums you can't acquire. So anyone new to the game is basically fucked if they want Haida or Huron. Even with the stats in game Haida being near perfect to serve as the T10 of a DD line with very minimal tweaks, and Huron would have made for a great T9. It's just a thing where Wargaming is going to do what Wargaming is going to do. It sucks but it is what it is.

At least they should've made them T5 to T10. It would be the first non-branch BB with only T8 - T10

@@Karth3n Haida is an amazing DD. She's basically got the best stealth in her MM range, paired with the crawling smoke and hydro while also having some of the best guns. It makes sense she's not available for sale anymore, but it also really sucks for anyone new to the game.

@@Norbrookc I think it's more testing the "Is giving them a torp reload booster a good idea" kind of thing. and they put it in the german line because _of course_ they're gonna sell it if it works, and they don't want it to compete with the Karl Johan.

@@bohba13 I regard the Karl Johan as a heavy cruiser, not a battleship.

@@Norbrookc it is classed as a BB however, and so is probably a peak at what WG wants to do with them. and a torp reload booster would lean into that. so idk.

@@bohba13 I know, but when you look at some of the heavy cruisers in other tech lines, there's really no difference. What I found was that if I played it as a battleship, it wasn't very good, but if I played it as a cruiser, it was. Basically, if they'd dropped it to tier 7 or 8, yeah, it's a decent battleship, but at tier 9, not so much.

A Gneisenau with 11 inch guns is a Scharnhorst, no point in that. The 43 version of Scharnhorst also have shorter reload time on her torps for brawling, so they fine tuned Scharnhorst for Close Quarter Combat. Speed boost is for getting into close range. The good news is that there is a Ship exchange event going on at the moment, so if you are not satisfied with one or both of your Scharnorsts, you can exchange it for a new ship, or more likely a discount on a new ship, some them are ships you can not get normally.

They are not going to delete submarines period. WG has to much invested in the class, plus it lets them add new ships when they struggle to come up with new paper surface ships.

HE maybe not but the german BB armor is pretty tanky against AP. Then there's the German BCs but they at least all have tools to deal with the bad armor. Still, I think this new mini line could be fun. The Pan-American cruisers are already a ton of fun so I am optimistic. Not overhyping them of course but there's potential.

Turtleback Results in your citadel being a bit more Durable and basically invulnerable if not broadside, against same Tier Shops, but the Rest of the armor is butter. I do notice this when shooting at anything Else, my 38cms behave like peas, i shoot at a German BB, I pen. Or when I play other Nations. German BBs are the finest HP Piñatas

@@rudatkatzn9171 yeah, now German BBs not much playable, got Focus Fire, CV drop bomb, Burn to Death, now only good when smaller mode (Brawls and Rank), and for above reply, even armor can tank against AP but you will eat Full Pen , the problem is their dispersion troll 🤣Schlieffen main gun bruh, GK still consistent hit, Preussen has overmatch but ehh

@@rudatkatzn9171 Their armor is really not any worse than others at their tiers aside from having massive superstructures that take a ton of damage. GK would have pretty good armor if it wasn't for the superstructure.

@@maltemejlstrup4746 Their Sides are Juice. Like, I know that Broadside is really not advisable, but german battleships really seem to by high up on the list of prime-examples. I know this from own experience, both playing as and against german BBs, the latter also with non-german ones
