@@pepevinkin3020 Well.. Apparently none of the statement in the original post is speaking for oneself. Speak for oneself and not assume the opinion of others, Not even a fellow countrymen. While the the original title was forcefully speaking on behalf of the world, you appear to be representing Argentinians. Argentinians represent the people of Argentina which may or may not include you be it in the interest of the majority but your opinion may still not valid to at least two hundred people of Argentina which could only mean you also assumed the opinion of every Argentinians out there. In the original post you should have said "Me an Argentinian: Speak for yourself!" So to represent yourself along with your nationality. While "Argentinians" represent every Argentinians out there which leads to the assumption of their opinion which made the post an Irony of its own or should i say.. The post has lost its charm by doing the same as the original video. But that's just my opinion, however. You can take it however you feel like. I wont be returning to argue or debate anything more than what i have said, it is not my intention to do so. Peace ✌.

Thatcher did us all a favour and took down the Unions who were effectively in control of the country. She took charge as head of the government should. There's a reason why the British public voted her in, and kept her in for so long...they needed a strong leader unafraid to make the hard decisions. Maggie was the one. She was a great leader, and the millions who voted for her leadership will attest to that.

As for the import costs, I'm going to have to cal false on that untill you bring proof, I don't think Thatcher would import goods AT A HIGHER COST rather then buy them from the national coal mines. As for social housing and utilities, I'm sorry those are services, not rights, and services should be paid for. It is only just that those who get benefits pay the costs.

And in my business classes they taught us that a business is there for profit, and that if a business isn't turning a profit it must adapt or perish. Take those mines as an example - they were mostly owned by the taxpayer and weren't making money. They couldn't be adapted as the workers threw a strop and started protesting as soon as any change was proposed, so they were closed instead. It saved money and eliminated a burden on the economy. And according to people like you this is a bad thing.

What she did do was privatise state industries that EVERYONE had payed into for generations, the rich and the poor. Great if you were rich and could buy undervalued shares then sell them later and make a good profit. If you were too poor to afford shares then tough shit, that money youd been paying out for years has gone straight to somebody richer than you. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Its classic tory policy.

A lot of people on here forget that millions of traditional Labour voters elected her into office for her 2nd term, if she was so bad why did they re-elect her back in with an even larger majority? Maybe it was something to do with the fact that the Unions had completely destroyed British manufacturing long before Thatcher came into office & it needed someone strong to turn our broken economy round. 3 day a week, the blackouts, Red Robbo, Scargill, fuel rationing ect, life was hell in the 70's.

The (unjust) poll tax broke her neck, correct. But she did a remarkable job bringing the UK back on the economic rails after its decline during the winter of discontent when far too powerful trade unions brought the country to a standstill. Unproductive mines were closed in the rest of Europe by socialists without serious turmoil because alternative employment was brought in, like car assembly plants. This happened in full agreement with the trade unions. The Thatcher coin has two sides.

Slavery yes, appeasing Hitler? That's a very complex topic, some would say Hitler was a stooge. As for Dr Kelly, the facts are their to read & for anyone with a modicum of intelligence to fit the pieces of the jigsaw together themselves. Read Churchill memoirs, you might change your mind about him, or just ask the Irish. Thatcher wasn't my hero, she made mistakes, mainly because she lacked empathy, although that possibly helped in a twisted way, but uniquely, she put Britain before her career!

Personally its seems to me she did some serious good and bad as with all administrations. However an extremely serious flaw was in my opinion was she couldn't take constructive criticism, believing she was always right and eventually surrounding herself with toadies, which is no way to run a country and would inevitably lead to ruin. E.g. cutting of NHS trainees. The Falklands War was fortuitous circumstances, for both UK & Argentina, she was no Churchill though she did have something.

I wouldn't exactly call it "mass" disobedience, and as the summer of 2011 shows us, rioters and protesters don't speak for the nation. I think Blair was a great leader, but regardless of whether you agree or not, you have to concede that they were democratically elected and therefore were the most popular choice. So don't assume you can speak for the whole country, just because you and a few people don't like them. If they were as hated as you say, they wouldn't have been elected.

Thatcher was the epitome of British strong-willed stubbornness. Her way or no way. Her respect was earned, her ire given freely. She took no nonsense whether from her international counterparts or the mainstream media, and she took no prisoners when scolding them for it. Only Sir Winston Churchill could possibly compare. A pity that Britain has changed towards enforcing a PC culture despite their nature, and we are unlikely to see their like ever again.

I simply haven't time to repy to all the comments I've had tonight, so you got a summary answer to them all. As for Thatcher, her policies of selling off utilities, railways, social housing, etc. have all ended up costing more money for the average person and put that money in the hands of the wealthy few. It's subjective who was the greatest peactime(or otherwise) PM, but to my mind Clement Atlee trounces Thatcher. One should also remember her support for Mugabe, Pol Pot, Pinochet, etc.

You should look at the IAEA website and PDFs. It depends on what kind of nuclear waste you are talking about. It's still a ridiculous problem to foist on future generations.
