It sometimes causes the wolf not to follow your character anytime you change a piece of armor or weapon. Same as other Souls games.

All you have to do is press the X button and it skips his dialogue..... that goes for any dialogue in the game. Can't sprint while he's talking so unless skipped, you have to slowly walk around. Which goes without saying is a waste of time.

@@lGenso Ah, I see! As it happens, I've never played Bloodborne myself, only watched people play it (not a PS owner), so I was unaware of that. I thought the NPCs would simply keep yelling while you leave them behind, so it was amusing for me to hear Micolash scream so short.

@rankpush2062 It's a little embarrassing, but I actually don't have the platinum trophy in this game. The only game in the series I never bothered to platinum, and by far the one I have the most time in. Congrats on your platinum trophy.

You either need to kill cleric beast to buy the key to open cathedral ward and progress the game, or kill Blood Starved Beast by running all the way to the bottom of Old Yharnam, which opens the door to upper cathedral ward. Running to BSB takes over a minute longer than killing Cleric Beast and skipping that entire area.

I've already answered this question for you. You're apparently hell bent on some pathetic attempt to undermine me, someone you don't know at all on the internet lol. Any time you change a piece of armor or weapon in this game, it has an opportunity to reset the enemy's priority for attacking. This can happen very early, which it often does, resulting in the enemy doing an attack earlier that usual, which results in them killing you while your menu is pulled up and you're changing equipment. Every once in a while, it causes the attack they input into the queue to be replaced, since your character's model data has changed. It is not consistent tech that can be considered a glitch because of how often you die changing equipment. And the SRC team cannot disqualify runners just because they change their equipment while there is an enemy around. It's just the way this game works. You will see plenty of much more blatant exploits allowed in games that are still considered glitchless by ruleset. Commenting repeatedly on my videos and calling them fake even after I've explained the tech and why it's allowed in runs is embarrassing. Read the rules on speedrun.com and you will see that this tech isn't banned. If you do that and still can't accept it, find somewhere else to cry about it. Also the fireball rolling that you're talking about, you can literally run past that on the left side just like I'm doing without opening the menu or spamming the toggle and you will never be hit. You don't even have to be good at the game. Just hold up and sprint and it doesn't touch you as long as you're on the left side of the bridge. They don't even roll the fireball until you get to the end of the bridge if you're on the left side. A 5 year old can do it. If you need verification, pull up any other run on the leaderboard on speedrun.com and you will pretty easily see exactly what I am describing. The only reason I'm toggling here is to try to keep the enemies on a straight line, has absolutely nothing to do with the fireball LMAO.

I've done many all bosses runs. They're all on my channel.......

@ir_7862 Visceral attacking loses about 5 seconds each time and does significantly reduced damaged unless you have a build centered around visceral attacks at high level. Obviously we don't have a level 200 character for speedruns, so visceral attacks are one of the worst and slowest forms of damage available to us. For example, if I visceral Gascoigne after each backstab, I will do around 200 damage (roughly, I don't remember exactly what it is because speedrunners don't visceral bosses, because it's terrible) vs throwing a molly at him which does around 435 damage. Two times the amount of damage and throwing a molly takes 1/3 of the time to do vs the entire, pathetically slow, visceral animation.

@Brenpai Purchased the key that let's you get to Amelia for 10k echoes during that dream visit. Pretty hard to get to Amelia without that 10k, including those echoes from killing cleric beast........ The gate is literally locked unless you purchase the key, or alternatively, run all the way to the bottom of Old Yharnam, wasting several minutes to fight BSB, which opens the alternate gate to Amelia. All of this is standard game progression, has nothing to do with speedrunning even. Since this is a glitchless category, there are no alternatives to earning echoes or skipping Amelia aside from the game developer intended method, which is to fight Amelia and progress to the Forbidden Woods.

Various reasons, some more 5Head than others. Killing a boss too quickly, running past an enemy that they themselves were unable to get by, using items, using In-Game Time rather than Real Time Attack (which is the rule for this game on speedrun.com, not even my rule) to time the run, etc. In the past, I was annoyed by almost daily remarks saying the run was illegitimate, spliced, etc., so I blocked many, many users. Mostly people who commented many times without me responding and people who I chatted with briefly, then they continued to blow my phone up with notifications after I stopped responding. This was my mistake, which is why I didn't delete my original thread and rather amended it. I failed to realize that these comments are actually from some of my biggest fans, who I was denying the opportunity to speak with me and interact, even if it is negative. Just because they don't understand the rules of the category, or claim that I'm a cheater ignorantly without any understanding of what they're talking about, that doesn't mean I shouldn't let them say their piece and feel good about themselves for telling me off lol. I can't respond to people infinitely, but I can mark comments so everyone knows that I'm seeing what they have to say to me, whether it's good or bad.

Yes! You either need to kill BSB, or you can buy the key that opens the gate to Cathedral Ward that way. It costs 10k echoes, which is why we need the ones from Cleric Beast.

@seandavis9320 You can't progress to Amelia without doing one of two things: Buying the key for 10k echoes to open the gate or killing BSB by running all the way to the bottom of Old Yharnam to fight the boss then return to Cathedral Ward to use the alternate path. If you don't do one of those two things, after killing Gascoigne, you will be stuck in the lower part of the Cathedral Ward with no way to progress the game. This is how normal progression of the game works. If I choose to run to the bottom of Old Yharnam for the BSB fight, I will lose over 1 minute of time doing that vs killing Cleric Beast, who is already on the path to Gascoigne anyway, and using the echoes from that fight to buy the key to get to Amelia, skipping the entire run through Old Yharnam and saving tons of time. The choice is yours as the player, but one of the two choices is significantly faster.

When you run through a cutscene trigger, if you do not trick your weapon, your character will stop sprinting completely and have to start again from walking. If you try to do the Amelia strat like this, you will be too slow to reach her, and she will punch you in the face at the start of the fight every time. Tricking the weapon allows you to carry the sprint through the cutscene trigger and reach her quickly enough to execute the opening combo.

Of course there are high tech strats and if they're to hard, I'll just do it my way. But yeah, this might be a bit of stretch from starting off with speedrunning. But if you have any recommendations to start speedrunning, it'd be appreciated.

@Godzilla545 There are only 5 runners who have completed runs on this route, and of the 5 who have, I took it a step further by skipping extra healing items. I completed this run using only a total of 10 blood vials throughout the run, which is suicidal given it only saved 1-2 seconds for each of the pickups I ignored. Each of the runners who completed early cleric route are elite, with several years of dedicated experience to the game to reach a level of proficiency to complete a run like this. It is not in any way even remotely good as a resource for new runners. You are much better off scrolling the leaderboard and finding a run that matches your skill level better than jumping into a run that involves suicide strats and feeling overwhelmed. There's no reason to be attempting early cleric or pelletless Amelia when there are safe scripted strats for bsb and Amelia with a beast blood pellet... With that said, this is only my opinion. If you still want to attempt a run using this routing, it is certainly your prerogative to do so. Best of luck to you.

You can't buy the key that leads to Amelia without 10k blood echoes. Without the echoes from Cleric, the only other options for getting to Amelia are killing random mobs that drop roughly 40-100 echoes each to make up the difference, or running all the way to the bottom of Old Yharnam and killing BSB, which opens another door that also leads to Amelia. It's fairly obvious that farming mobs and running to the bottom of Old Yharnam to fight BSB are both painfully slow. I killed Cleric Beast in about 30 seconds here.

As I keep explaining, in every Souls game, every piece of armor and weapon equipped causes your character to take increased fall damage. I am taking the armor pieces off to decrease the fall damage.

@yassinmaged3939 I've explained this several times as well. When removing or adding a piece of equipment, your in-game character model is updated by the game. When the character model is updated, the timing of the queue system for the enemies attacks can be affected. This can have various wild results, ranging from the enemies instantly turning to attack you, to totally ignoring your character. Most of the time it is the former. Occasionally, enemies will ignore your character completely. Usually performing this tech will get you killed. The reason that this isn't considered a glitch is because this can happen any time you alter your character's weapons or armor. With that in mind, it's impossible to disqualify runs for changing equipment and armor during the speedrun because it makes no sense to do that. By that logic every run on the leaderboard would be instantly disqualified. And we can't write a rule that says something like, "it's ok to change your equipment, but only sometimes," or "you can't consistently toggle the equipment on and off" because words like "sometimes" and "consistently" aren't tangible numerical factors and can thus vary in interpretation based on the person reading it. To avoid the inevitable arguments, the speedrun.com moderators don't impose stupid rules like this. Despite my explanations of why this is the way it is and me taking out several minutes of my life to explain this to people, however, morons will still debate me here and tell me my run is invalid when you can clearly go to speedrun.com and see that the run is verified by a moderator.

Otherwise you're standing in lower cathedral ward with no way to progress. You can time my fight with cleric beast. It was probably less than 40 seconds to do it. The only other alternative is running all the way to the bottom of Old Yharnam to fight BSB, which opens a different door that leads to Amelia. Even slower than this very simple fight with cleric beast.

@@lGensoDo you get enough insight from the Gascoigne fight to buy his full set? You can sell that plus the hunter rags for 10k, but you need 6 insight iirc. Not sure if there's a few madman's knowledge on your route or not. Might shave off a minute or two if you don't have to make the detour and go straight to Daddy. Pretty sick run all things considered, that Shadows fight was *mwah* perfection. Nicely done. Glitchless speedruns are my absolute favorite and this one was beautiful.

@Ptolemeian You can see if you watch this run that I can't buy Gascoigne's set because I will lack insight later for twin shards. Gascoigne and Cleric's echoes together are not enough. I even sold a Hunter's set that I picked up in the sewers because echoes and insight are stretched to the absolute limits in this run. You can't buy the key to get to cathedral ward without killing cleric. You either kill cleric and buy the key or you run to the bottom of Old Yharnam and fight BSB, losing minutes of time to open the other door. The fact is, this run is stretched to the absolute limits. All of the things you are suggesting don't actually help because spending any more means not having enough insight later in the run to buy twin shards. Meaning I can't get a +7 for Micolash and Wet Nurse, and further and further time losses. Everything has been accounted for seemingly. All of the top speed runners in the world convened to make this route what it is today. Unfortunately there are not multiple minutes of timesave left to be uncovered for any% glitchless.

You can't open the door to Cathedral Ward without either buying the key which costs 10k or killing Blood Starved Beast and opening the door to Upper Cathedral Ward and progressing to Amelia that way..... This is just normal game progression.

If you skip Cleric Beast, you won't have enough echoes to purchase the key to progress the game to Amelia...... You'll be standing in Cathedral Ward with no way to progress and 3k echoes shy of being able to purchase the key to Amelia. Cathedral Ward gate is locked. This is just standard game progression knowledge. The only way to open the alternate gate is running all way to the bottom of Old Yharnam, fighting BSB, then returning to Cathedral Ward. This loses about 90 seconds vs just fighting Cleric Beast who is on the path to Gascoigne anyway.

If you don't kill her, she randomly appears in different places around the dream each time you return, and you have to search to find her........ obviously playing hide and seek with the doll is slower than her being directly in front of you every single time.

This is just basic and standard game progression. It's shocking to me how many people don't know this with the frequency of this question.

This is now the 3rd time in a day you've commented on the video calling it fake and saying I'm doing something to delay the fireball, which isn't true as I explained in your other comments attempting to debunk the video. The run is verified by the moderation team on speedrun.com. You can look it up and see that it was verified on speedrun.com. I already explained that the fireball is not being delayed. If you run down the left side of the bridge, the fireball doesn't hit you. Ever. Spamming comments on my videos, especially comments spreading lies is a good way for me to take your comments down and ban your ability to post further. I'm tired of answering the same question for you as I've now done it three times. If you post again calling my videos fake, and you haven't watched another speedrunner do literally the same thing I'm doing here, or even bothered to READ the ruleset on speedrun.com and see that I did not break any of the rules, and that the run was verified by a moderator, then I have to conclude that you might actually have brain damage and aren't even reading my replies at all. In which case I will have to restrict your ability to post more comments.
