Honestly, this content is absolutely amazing! I've never speedrun anything myself but I really enjoy watching and following the GTA speedrunning scene. There are a lot of personalities I've really grown to like over the last two years... Josh, KZ, Omega, Eidgod, CK9, yourself, and quite a few more. Especially for 'casual' fans like myself, these kinds of videos are absolutely fantastic! It's really interesting to see, how these things began all those years ago and how some of the well-known speedrunners started off all those years back. I really want to thank you for all the work and effort you put into the GTA-speedrunning-scene and speedrunning overall, recently. The Vice City and SA videos are among the best GTA content I've ever seen. Not to mention the recent Gaming Tuesday United, which was an absolute blast to watch!!! I really hope that your channel will pick up a lot more following soon because you truly deserve it! Thank you for all the great content!

I loved your Vice City Edition as well and it's crazy which routings and technical imperfections in the game speedrunners can use to shave so much time off a run. This was really enjoyable to watch! Out of all the gta games, san andreas was always the one that fascinated me the most, both from a casual view and for speedrunning. From what i'm seeing, with the new (idk if they're actually new) strats we might see Reset's run be beaten this year, which is absolutely crazy. In another words, i'm looking forward for this video to be outdated hahaha. Also, nice touch with the reset fail clips lol

Nice job, man. I don't even care about GTA but you've captured my interest throughout the video. Although I think shortening the clips just to the point where they do the thing would be better. Like just cutting the clips down to the point where the runner does something of interest. I also recommend putting music in the background, although this video is 2 months old so you might've already done it.

I really want to thank you for this video. AN HOUR LONG NOT BORING VIDEO! I really really REALLY enjoyed it. I didn't think an hour long video would "pass" in 10 minutes. 8 months? For me it started the day i got the game. I didn't have a memory card so i couldn't save my progress. Additionally, my PS2 tended to freeze after more than 6 hours of continuous play. So i started speedrunning it just so i could actually finish it

Yeah this video is a little quiet, it's tough to balance it because I'm using footage from 100 different people some of which are super quiet or super loud. I'd rather be too quiet than risk giving someone a heart attack. Thanks though king

Great video but missing two things. One would be old WSotT setup and who made it, and second post Reset strats such as fade skips. Also breaking audio through pause buffering could've been mentioned.

Breaking audio has nothing to do with the world record so idk it would have a place in the video. I have no idea who found the old WSoTT setup and it isn't documented anywhere to my knowledge. As for the fade skips they are extremely minor, if I included every minor strat the video would be 6 hours long lol

I really enjoyed the video, but I think you have a lot of space for improvement. For example: The Video seems a bit like there isn't enough happening, I mean that in like there could be some background music, fitting to the current part, or that you shorten some of the Clips of the Runners, talking about something, so it's not that stretched out and stuff. Nice video thank you! Do have 1 comment. Why did you block the game footage with those massive non transparent texts? Maybe you had your reasons (copyright or whatever) but I think adding them as subtitles would be much better.

It's to show that they were from archive.org back in '05, if i wrote them as subtitles I could write anything I wanted to try and create fake narratives etc.

great video, but there are some things that you could improve. E.g. Add some music and remove those black bars in game footage (e.g. at 3:26). You should be able to crop the footage and scale it up fairly easily. Also, e.g. at 3:02 you could've blur out the background to make the comment more prominent. Regardless of that, I still enjoyed the video c:

Impressive video, EBen! Very little to nitpick about it given the insane length. :D That the 4:20 or whatever run was hard to beat because it had little mistakes I cannot agree with, given by how much it has been beaten (ofc I am accounting for new strats). Just a gut feeling, though. IIRC, K9 credited GTARunner for the Freddy chase skip. It would take a little research to see what role Snuvvs had in it. 4:24 The GS bridge drop has been timed to be slower, so it is not about consistency. Even if that is Fake News (might be), do you even have enough speed to kill Sweet with this strat (which avoids an animation)? That would need testing. I wrote 47000 messages? :D The LAB dance skip had been shown earlier. gtaforums.com/topic/455492-pass-lifes-a-beach-without-dancing/?do=findComment&comment=1060137310 July 2010 There, a guy comments that he had already read about such a skip before. The minigun strat to turn Pulasky's car is hilarious, I would have liked the video footage of it in: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ec5igtyb3c3Vn4U.html Not talking about the 555 D.A. respawn was a deliberate decision, I suppose. It saves 30s or so, IIRC. More importantly for me, it is a fascinating strat for code monkeys. :D
