Yeah man poor guy crashed on the same patch of oil that claimed the car he was rushing to the aid of, the car who ran the right lane after that got squirly too and had to let out. Left lane seemed way more consistent over the event and faster as a result..!

Man, that wreck around 16:20 was serious. Demolished the front end and still the throttle was pinned to the point it was doing a burnout all the way back across the track towards that family. Glad that guy got his lady and kids out the way! A great vantage point may not always be the best place to bring your loved ones. Glad that (from the way it looked) everyone was ok.

Man, this event and this brilliant video of it really show the highs and lows, the sudden changes of emotion and the irrational obsession that play a huge part in motorsport in general, but in drag racing even more so. The guy with the (sick) purple Cuda said it best... "All that work for 5 seconds.. What are we, idiots?" Also, those top end shots, the 250mph fly by ones.. they are the reason 1/4 mile will always be better than 1/8th mile.

Honda actually had a serious 1.5 v6 twin turbo engine in formula one back in the mid 80's 1,200hp in qualification trim. Alot of people just don't know about Honda and it's racing history. They think they're only economy cars.

Been there done that pulling in to work. We ride fast I was damn near scrapping knee and stupid ass pot hole upset the bike so bad it jumped in to the grass and fuckin cartwheeled in front of everybody. On a 50cc scooter. That was when I was 16 25 now.
