I would think a ‘steering damper’ would be a must riding on these rocks and hitting all these switchbacks. Just watching this vid is making my forearms hurt or cramp! I feel safer in saying that riding a dirt bike is the ultimate workout! I mean it works every single muscle in ur body! Swimming comes close but nothing else. Most people think this is just jot ridding. That’s only because the people on film make it look so easy. Great video guys. These trails are badass.

I used to run one but got rid of it. Even a low speed it was too much We're going slow enough that it's not really needed. It actually made me more tired using one I'd only put one back on for high speed desert Stuff

The trails are all marked .You could have a blast .Old quarries , caves you could explore , you can take your bike right down to the 114 and fill up , then hit the trails again .You can ride the beach ,places that were discovered 400 years ago. Also the highest tides in the world are here , we're close to FUNDY NATIONAL Park .

Nicely done, glad you liked my stomping grounds so much and looks like you "killed it" as you like to say. I enjoyed seeing someone else besides me make a video of this incredible place. I must have dozens of videos of McNutt. Tough for me to venture out to other riding areas as I only live 15 minutes away, why drive an hour to ride something else is always my excuse.
@EverySingleSunday4 жыл бұрын
Lots of amazing stuff around you.... But McNutt was definitely the best I've ridden. I'm excited to come back next year and ride the top as I've heard it gets even harder
@6at32off4 жыл бұрын
The top has many excellent trails. They are not as well used as the lower trails and therefore require a bit more wet root skill. Trails like Tunnel of Shove, San Fran, Kill Roger, Berry Trail are an absolute blast to ride. You got to ride a very nice mixture of what we have on your 1st visit but didn't get to ride the more difficult stuff on the lower half. Your statement about the lower half below the powerline being the B side and the top half being the A (more difficult side) wasn't entirely true. You will need to tackle my Trifecta of Evil that starts right off the very beginning and takes you almost to the top. There are trails like Wages of Sin and Olga (ridden west to east) that will test your metal. You can spend several days here and still not cover everything as there is over 150km of amazing stuff to ride. I don't think I've ever done more than 40km in one day. I cannot last much more than 4-5 hours up there though. I'm getting old....

I was lucky enough to spend an entire year riding McNutt while I was going to school in Vancouver. I spent a load of time riding with Rick Green, who has commented on this vid below. Its an AWESOME place to ride. If you want to try something a bit different ..... nastier and more raw ... Alberta has some stunning riding. Our trails are all up against the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains and are tight, technical, gnarly, vertical and full of rocks, roots and fallen logs. Many trails also have absolutely stunning mountain views. I would characterize McNutt as a rollercoaster ride along with a happy clown wearing floppy shoes, carrying a bag of popcorn. My local riding area, McLean Creek, near Calgary, Alberta is more like cage wrestling a hungry tiger. Best case, you are gonna end up bruised, battered and scraped up. :)

@@EverySingleSunday That was only last year. I spent 2017-2018 riding McNutt and we went back for a weekend last month as well. Come and ride Southern Alberta. We are about 4-5 hours north of Idaho. The riding here is incredible, super technical and vertical but way wilder than a place like McNutt. I've seen black bear, deer, and moose on the trails and last month even came across wolf tracks on a trail. I'm a bit of a trail Yoda and have GPS tracks of all the good stuff. :)

Anthony is a great guide and even better rider. I ride with him regularly and value his help and company. Great follow video footage, I’ll have to try it with a slower group. If you liked McNutt, you should try Eagle Mountain near by. Anthony knows it well. I’ve done a couple videos of it recently. Subscribed.

Sounds like Anthony T. I remember him from mtn biking on Eagle almost 20 years ago.

@@Breal604 Holly crap! That’s a long time ago. We’ll turns out I’ve been riding with Anthony 1-2 times a week for a solid year now. I gotta tell you my riding had improved immensely thanks to him. He’s so generous with his time and is a great person to lean from. He got me into trials over a year ago too.

Great video! I recognized McNutt from the thumbnail (the bridge on Pallet Trail) in your video. Anthony is a great rider, and a great guy - I've ridden with him a bunch of times. I live 10 minutes from the trails, so I ride my Husqvarna dual sport right from my house to McNutt/Blue Mountain as often as I can - I've got over 200 videos of riding at McNutt on my channel.

You sir are a lucky man. That's a dream of mine to live in an area so amazing. I'll check out your videos so it makes me come back :)

@@RickGreen_McNutt probably not till next year. I wish sooner, but it's not in the cards. I'll keep it in mind next time I'm there

Every single Sunday - Rick is a big part of why the trails at Mcnutt are so good. Not only is he a great trail rider, and trail buddy, but he is hella committed to the sport and trail maintenance at Mcnutt. U either catch Rick twisting a grip or gripping a shovel on blue mountain. Thanks Rick and thanks for a great vid. Welcome to Canada.

@@acefreely3556 Thank you so much for the compliments - there are a lot of people involved in working on the trails - as The Godfather mentioned below, we get a lot of rain, and it very quickly can erode the trail, so there's a lot of work that's always needed to keep the trails open and in good shape. When you ride somewhere like this, you want to do everything you can to keep these trails open and rideable.

You have to get out to the Okanagan! Hit up the trails and then cool off at the beach :D
