While watching this, I had the biggest grin on my face for a plethora of reasons: 1. If you’ve seen the Donkmaster series, this was like “a taste of his own medicine” 2. Deep down we all wanted to see the Donkmaster win at least one race 3. I’m convinced the Hoonicorn is possessed like the ‘58 Fury in Christine Amazing series by you guys at Hoonigan!

@Jax That's okay, you couldn't being anything to the table that would compete with 10 car lengths. Also, one is AWD, so it's going to hook on any surface, and the other just spun it's tires the length of the track. But worth all that being said, the fact still remains that you don't have shit to compete with it.

@aragot ra every culture is different. Some like to have cars with the wheels popping out like they bout to snap, some may feel doing that to a classic Mustang is stupid. In all aspects I respect all cultures cause some can’t do what others do. Now, why is that every big weight in different cultures are either building a Donk or asked Sage aka Donkmaster to build one? This is really history in the making. Basically, 2 different worlds coming together. Mad respect to Ken for doing this, straight respect to Donkmaster as well. People may not see it now, but this really is a great way to bring people together from cultures that ordinarily may never have met up. 😆Donkmaster is still funny as sh*t. @@1moetime123 Yeah, I was wondering what he was doing with lo-pros on a drag car. All that money put into powering the car, he needs to put some high sidewall slicks on it. Atleast have an extra set to switch between lo-pros and fatties. It amazes me how many people go crazy with power mods, then neglect the wheels/tires and suspension. All that power is useless if you can't get it to the ground properly.

Probably is a 7.9x on a fully prepped surface, correct gearing with drag radials on. Maybe not with Ken wheeling it. But with a hot shoe I bet it would go 7s.

Unprepped surface is honestly his best advantage. Anything with enough power can't grip unless its AWD too. The Z06 would be a better race if it could grip, because it is fast for a 5,000lb boat on 28s

@@DIYAmateurHour Drag setup is for track, where there's extra traction laid down, to try to do the equivalent of that on this clean road, you'd need probably double the width of the tires. It's why both teams mention they'd like a rematch on an actual track. Hoonicorn's AWD basically is like the RWD with double the width of rear tires.

@Christopher The efficiency cap for AWD depends on your drivetrain, you can’t just pull a number out of your ass for that. Same goes for the 300hp, there’s a lot more variables to that equation than that. The fact that you don’t see AWD in top fuel is also culture, basic aerodynamics and the fact that RWD is more simple. You might pull the front up a little, but that just means you have to work on the car’s balance and power split. At the end of the day the extra work will be worth it, because AWD doesn’t just have one single advantage. You can see that in roll racing in particular, the car is planted even while shifting and that shit just keeps pulling. Quite honestly the only one who seems confused here is you. Top fuel and normal people drag racing are basically incomparable, therefore applying the same logic to both is just dumb
