My dream is to build a longboard field, like ski fields. With ski lifts and many trails. Im not even thst good myself but the sport is so underrated and people deserve traffic free roads.

Cool but you know what would make it better? A ski lift to get back up top!

The issue I see with this is now people have the same excuse as for skateboarders and skateparks "Why are you longboarding here? You have a longboard park." Also looks a bit narrow, otherwise sick.

So. I live here. And what many of you are saying is right. "It's too narrow" " I don't see this working" you're all right. The man designed this park is my friend. And he had had a totally different vision for it. The " black Diamond" is not steep enough for many of the local riders, and certainly not steep enough for Pat himself. The city of kamloops only built two tracks. There were supposed to be three. If you go there, you'll see the signs say "intermediate" and "hardest" that's because kamloops decided it was cheaper to build two courses, without looking at the Original plans. There was supposed to be an easy course, the most difficult was supposed to be steeper, and they were all supposed to be longer.

Looks pretty neat, but very carve focused. With such narrow paths, it's pretty likely that people that carve and don't carve will be able to cooperate very well, since people that aren't slowing down and people that rapidly slow down from carving will likely end up running into each other or have one forcing the other off the path. Great idea, and since it's either the first or one of the first to do this it's understandable that they may not have gotten ideas to please everyone yet, but it could still use some tweaking. Either that or different slopes for different styles of longboarders. But hey, that's just the way I see it. I could be entirely wrong.

I've always liked having longboard as a unique hobby, not as popular as other boarding sports. I don't disapprove of others doing it, but I liked the uniqueness, and now it's getting really popular.

This is great, hope the idea spreads.

Believe it ir not, there used to be a longboard park in Argentina 2 years ago, with a smooth 200 mts downhill. But its closed now and just a skateboard half pipe and pool aré left instead.

I think of all the boarding cultures out there, I like the longboarding culture the most!

Must visit Kamloops

There's a place called Deer Island near Boston MA that is similar to this place but there is a sign that said no skateboarding. At Deer Island, there is not cops or park rangers. Also very few people go there and no cars so I basically go there and longboard. Longboarders in Boston don't even know about Deer Island. The hills in Deer Island is similar to the mellow side of the longboard park in the video.

HL22-the biggest part top going down any kind of hills with any kind of speed is to be able to stop safely and effectively and the absolute best way to do that is to be able to do different slide to control your speed. First learn to foot stomp stop then you'll get better at dragging your foot then as you start to feel more comfortable in your stance you'll be able to crouch and be more comfortable with throwing your weight more little by little. Wear knee pads and slide gloves! Watch videos and practice what you see! Have a blast!

So not bashing the awesome idea, but a quick google search has found me at least 3 other longboard parks around the globe. including one with a t-bar.

We have plenty of skate parks here on the East Coast, but a longboard one would be awesome; my daughter and I prefer long boarding and wind up on the local streets. I'd prefer a park.

It looks really freaking short, and the paths are really narrow. It doesn't look like it would facilitate a lot of people. It's a good concept though.

I can get there in like, 3 hours and 45 minutes by car. Plus, it's the only good spot near me. But, does it have any non hill spots? I don't know how to drift on a longboard yet.
