To the people who are saying "only Gujrat is being developed", Gujrat is literally the center of diamond trade in not only India but Asia too, a very high population of traders reside there too, and if you have any problems of the SDB being in Gujrat, where do you think it should have been made then? in front of your house? it simply shows that you are gonna oppose every development in India by giving a bad reason which won't make any sense but the opposing people will still stick to (and I am not from Gujrat, in fact, I am from Maharashtra)

Very good analysis overall, problems are also mentioned rightly. Here are a few points I can clear as a local. - U/C metro LINE 1 itself is called diamond route as it connects the diamond polishing industry zone directly to the SDB treading zone, ideally it should have been near the completion stage now but planning & pre construction work delayed the project. - Airport connectivity is a must, airport expansion is underway & about to complete, again delayed for more than double the time which was granted because of corrupt contractors. SDB stack holders know its importance & are hopefully active to resolve this issue. - The SDB project is privately executed & not on government money, only the land is provided by government.

Surat metro is on going project that will take care the concern of local transportation. And Airport expansion is also underway. By the was surat is also called as city of flyovers here there more than 120 such flyovers which ensure good infrastructure and connectivity amongst the area. Bengaluru aur Pune me IT hubs hai hamne kuchh bola? Mumbai financial capital hai hamne kuchh bola? Aur Mumbai ko aaj bhi Gujaratis aur Marwadi log chala rahe hai aur native log job karte hai... UP ki GDP GJ se jyada ho gai hai to kya GJ vale bhuke mar jayenge tab tak tum log pichha nahi chhodoge? Aur government bolti hai 80% log educated hai, tum jaise logo ko itna nahi pata to 80% literacy kaha se ho gai kya pata
