Thanks for sharing your experience. You captured the La Premiere experience perfectly. For our 50th anniversary celebration we traveled from Dulles to Paris via LA Premiere. We did pay full fare as infrequent travelers. Worth every bit as the experience was outstanding. Each La Premiere escort was very helpful and made the experience all the better. One could not have a better experience than La Premiere travel.

I was just able to get round trip in la premiere from SAN and back for a little over $11k total round trip with taxes. normally over 10K each way.

Surely your soup, entree & main course wasn’t all served at the same time? By the time you got to the main course it would be cold?

Great to see but just to clarify if one is on business class or above on Air France from Mexico you don't get lounge access? Sound like a deal breaker to me.

Note that you need to be Platinum now with Air France to book La Premiere awards (and because the audience that can book them is so limited, it's not uncommon that La Premiere awards are less than business class awards from the US). Getting Air France status is not that hard in the US: there's a credit card from Bank of America that gets you a fifth of the way to Platinum for putting $15k of spend on it a year and if you're willing to pay for domestic first on Delta (or even better: cross-border first to Canada/Mexico/Caribbean) you get more elite credit on AF than you would by crediting to Delta. The coquilettes-jambon aka the mac-and-cheese with truffles in the La Premiere lounge are legendary.

Qatar and Singapore airlines will definitely disagree, that this is the most exclusive first class :D
