Fun fact, I did my dissertation on Ryanair's business model and found out the reason their seats don't recline is because the bit of metal in each seat that allows them to do that x the number of seats is enough weight that the CEO justified leaving them out because he's a cheapskate and didn't want to pay the extra fuel costs. On that note he also made the genuine suggestion once that planes should be like buses with the handles on the ceilings to hold on to instead of seats and couldn't see anything wrong with that idea on a PLANE.

As a AV geek, I would like to mention that Etihad discontinued “The Residence” with the removal of the A380 from their fleet, the most expensive Etihad seat now is the regular first class on the 777-300ER which is nowhere near as good as Emirates First class

Singapore Airlines was THE best airline I have ever been on, even in Economy. My 12 hr flight to Japan in the very back of the plane was an absloute lovely experience. The plane feels taken care of from tip to tail.

We had a plane one at my work once it was an embraer 1000e. One hour flight to my airport. One hour flight back. $10,000/hour whether they’re flying or not according to the pilot. They sat on the ramp at my work for 8 hours. There was only one person on the airplane. It’s insane how much money you can spend to fly in luxury around the world.

I went to singapore in april from humberside to amsterdam and amsterdam to singapore and it was a 12 hour flight. in those 12 hours, I got about 2 hours sleep on the way here and probably about 3 on the way back. now I realise why we didn’t go to first class
