So if you were walking along and saw a number of $50 bills on the sidewalk and they were clearly the real thing, you wouldn't bother to pick any of them up even if there were a couple dozen of them (totaling over $1000). I think if the conditions were right, and they didn't belong to anyone, you'd surely pick them up. One gram nuggets are worth $60 apiece. The Nokta Simplex is a coin and jewelry detector - great for parks and schools but nearly worthless for gold. With an 11 inch coil and 2.4 KHz frequency, you will have a hard time seeing nuggets of less than 2 grams in mineralized typical goldfield soils. Even Notka advertises that it has these modes: "All Metal, Field, Park, Beach". Note there is no gold or nugget hunting mode because Notka knows it cant do that.

@@ChrisRalph Maybe not. But I'd like to avoid spending 20 minutes each digging out tiny slivers of lead on the 1 in 50 chance I get a 1/4 gram speck of gold. There's got to be a happy medium somewhere. BTW, the Simplex is 12.5 KHz. The 2.5 KHz is for wireless headphones.

Still the relationship holds, if I'm going to detect for gold or meteorites, I leave my coin machine at home and use my gold machine.

@@DavidBelliveau You need dowsing rods, better than the metal detector, they bring you right to the gold and point at it.

Good for treasure and large cashes, but not very good for gold hunting - can't see those smaller nugget targets.

First, there are no detectors which see only gold. These devices are metal detectors and detect metals of all types. Second, I have no idea what you mean by "those little bar ones and one of the circle ones."

I do not know the laws of every country on the earth. However, I will tell you that no metal detector will find targets at 20 feet depth.

​@@ChrisRalphwould ground penetrating radar have any results at those depths? In search of artifacts deeper than 4 foot.

Even the most expensive metal detectors with large coils searching for large targets weighing 10s of kilos do not detect to depths more than 3 meters.

@@ChrisRalph thank you I saw Ur video suggesting metal detector Fisher bug pro which can detect small nugget gold but may I know can this metal detector detect even very tiny bit of gold too usually we found in river?
