Have to say that was a bit underwhelming. Sure, tornadoes are destructive and scary, but with a title like "Judgement Day", I was expecting something more along the lines of an impact event or some kind of cosmic upheaval that stands to potentially eternally condemn Garfield for chronic assholism.

Well that's exactly what Garfield's 9 Lives was. Cosmic upheaval. Or it may be titled "Garfield: His 9 Lives". So you should definitely watch that. He actually meets god in his own personal judgement, and TRICKS him at the end of the film. It's EXACTLY what you were expecting from the thing called "Judgement Day".

It would've been great to have seen this. I really think this film could've shown the people of today the good side of Garfield, and really see him as a really cool icon. Hopefully though in the future, there'll be something that'll bring Garfield back to the limelight.

I don't think any of the Garfield specials went to theaters, they were usually TV specials. But yes, Garfield was, for a time, able to do proper comedy and tragedy. I kinda wish they'd still be willing to go back to it. Lots of the episodes of the cartoon were really well written too.

Honestly, in my opinion I find things that are more real to be scarier. I already know that a giant fat cat with teeth can't hurt me, but a tornado that just comes over one day can. But that's just my own opinion, I completely understand your side of this too.

I wish there is a remake of Garfield with a bit of seriousness mixed in with the famous humor we all know and love; like they did with “Anne With an E”. It could flesh out Garfield’s past before meeting Jon, and Odie should have the same treatment while keeping his fun, ‘slobbery’ demeanor❤️😂. Maybe Garfield is acting out for attention because of his experience of being abandoned by his mother unexpectedly due to a house fire accidental caused by him after an argument with one of his siblings (he and his siblings survive but his mother passed away). Jon can have his original personality with a blend of the lovable man from “Garfield and Friends” and the 2004 film. Lyman should have an explanation for his disappearance (could be captured while on duty in the Middle East, etc) and returns as Jon’s roommate while having flashbacks from PTSD and a plot can explore how they help Lyman. Liz’s relationship with Jon should be like the 2000s version. Arlene’s the same and Nermal can be snobby but like his counterpart in 2004. This is long but that is my idea. Doc Boy and Irma from the comics can present in the reboot and there can also be original characters too. 😉👍🏾 Maybe they can do something about this story too❤️ This is just an imaginary idea

Im a bit confused on why this isnt okay for kids honestly. No one died, there wasnt blood or nsfw, and im sure a bunch of kids know about tornados. The darkest part about it is the old man and his dog being willing to die rather than leave their home, but as a kid i wouldnt really process that as anything big. Maybe i was just a weird kid though
