A few things to note: - When I took this flight back in mid-March, it was the shortest regular A380 service in the world. Emirate's A380 Dubai-Riyadh took off on 1st Apr and that's now the shortest A380 flight in the world. Asiana NRT-ICN is now second. - Forgot the intro, sorry!! - 11:45 some calculation error there. Japanese Yen should've been 16,465 (others are correct)

Yes nothing in constant in aviation. In the Gulf region you might find in future that other short routes are operated by A380s.

4:31 Not many airlines have foot rest on economy seat, so it was surprising to see one :o. The foot rest makes it look like a coach seat instead of a plane seat

Great video , Jayden! It looked like a comfortable ride for the short flight. I was surprised how quiet the UA lounge looked. I assume you must not have been there around the US flight departures. Glad you enjoyed your stay there. Seeing the Japanese waffles has me missing them again. 😂 So glad you were reunited with your bad sooner than expected!

Yep I was there approximately 5 hours before all the US departures. I’m still shocked that my bags made it🤣 I wanted to know how it happened haha

Great trip report! I find it interesting that the ground crew conversed with you in Japanese and the flight attendants greeted you in Korean whilst you don’t speak either 😂

Flying an A380 is on my bucket list but I don't really enjoy long haul flights. This would be perfect for me. Also, I miss the days when Narita was a Northwest/ Delta hub. So many memorable trips through Narita, yet I have never really visited Japan.

Amazing report Jayden, always great. Pretty cool flight and that service was amazing for a flight that short with the 380! I suggest flying REX Melbourne to Perth if you can, new service starting up and first cross country rex flight!

Great review! I love the short A380 flights. BKK - HKG on the EK A380 used to be great. SYD - CHC on the EK A380 is another good short A380 flight.

Another great trip report. Loving the T-Shirt with your initials on it... The United lounge had a far superior foo offering compared to the ANA lounge at Haneda. You're correct about the Japanese waffle, yum yum!!

Thanks for this review, Jayden! Amazing that they squeeze a meal service on such a short flight (ss others have mentioned, here in the US, we'd be lucky to get pretzels and a coke on a 5 hour flight). Very enjoyable and informative. One thing I want to recommend is to include the price of 1 night stay hotel (just similar the one for the flight) would be great.

Hi Louise! I don’t share that (and I actually don’t want to share the flight prices too!) because it’s very inaccurate and misleading. Every traveller pays a different price. For flights, if you have a connecting flight then sometimes one of the flights could be free. What I showed for the flight price on the video was actually nowhere near what I paid as I was connecting onwards to Taiwan.

@@JaydenWong i had 5 asiana and 2 ke experience. Food is almost the same but i find the serving on asiana better. Asiana even offers inflight exercises on all my transpacific flights since 2000 KE did not offer it on my last transpacific flight, cabin crew of KE are too poised and limited to work in my opinion rather than being efficient as how I experienced it over Asiana. I do hope merger won’t push through because I love Asiana as it is. Still if there’s a chance I’d still fly KE for the sake of the delta miles.

Thoroughly impressed to see a full meal service on this flight. Something Air Canada & WesJet can learn from them! I recently flew 6.5 hours within North America. Nothing besides pretzels and water.

Really love your video and for the Asiana A380 does it beat a Singapore Airlines version or not? Speaking of the boarding pass ads itself they tend to be Korean pop music Idols or Korean drama actors. When a family friend of mine flew OZ A380 they liked it. sadly they ended up choosing 菲律賓航空 Philippine Airlines PR127 RP-C3501-RP-C3508 fleet for the next trip to Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport. 7:21 if you can afford to fly in that one might as well do it my parents took a picture of its Sistership JA381A Blue version

I heard you say "Hai" at NRT when they stopped you re your luggage. I loved the "Delta Air Lines" mini segment during departure. (I'm a recovering Delta Medallion addict). 🤣There is nothing to be sorry about if you release a "short video", it's quality, not quantity. Sorry, I think that hotel room was boss! That view and bidet toilet!

Nice vid as always, to accompany my birthday! I think the crew at the door didn't want to be filmed - common case in Korean carriers - and as you can see she immediately used his hand and your boarding pass to block your camera. That being said, Asiana's A380 looks far more modern than KE's!

I think she was just trying to reach my boarding pass hahah. The person in front wasn’t moving while she was already reaching arms for the boarding pass so that she could direct me which aisle hahaha. Yes more modern 100%. Can tell from the screens. That being said KE did receive their first A380 three years before OZ
