In this Minecraft Video, we continue our 1,000 speedruns in a row, and I predict the times for these runs! This video is not to be confused with any "Minecraft, But" challenges, beating minecraft but my friend tries to stop me (Minecraft Speedrunner VS Hunter OR Minecraft Manhunt) and it is not a Minecraft 1.18 video either. Someone in chat asked why the portal chunk loading is a game mechanic: it’s so that you can send mobs through a portal and not have them instantly despawn. Normally for different farms, but also for achievements like sending a ghast to the over world, or killing zoglins for the kill every mob achievement

my opinion is you should cut from starter and have it run from starter so people can see how many rooms it is idk if couri ever walked that way tho but most people would understand it then but the point was definitely really strong great job

EDIT: I continued watching the video and now I know 17:47 don't take my word for it at all but i speculate it might just be that portals keep a small area around them loaded OR that they don't unless a MOB goes through the portal and the pearl stayed within close range to the portal (i think 4×4????) and if it's the second thing then that is just incredibly dumb unlucky

When any mob goes through a nether portal, it loads a 5x5 area of chunks centered on the portal for 15 seconds. The outer 24 are lazy chunks, but the single chunk in the center containing the nether portal is an entity processing chunk that can handle things like ender pearls. So if couri had thrown the ender pearl any direction other than literally straight up, or if he'd waited like 5 more seconds, it wouldn't have happened. Truly unlucky.

I had a stronghold which didn't have a portal in when speedrunning with my mate. We were at 16 :34 when we got in but were forced to go into spectator and it was literally starter staircase, a cobble staircase and a room at the bottom. It was pathetic.

Even with the advanced bastion routes advanced strategies its still not easy to get a sub 20 And thats just absolutely insane that how theesizzler got a sub 20 wr!

If u understand the mechanics and can control your nerves Its not really hard at all to get sub 20 with decent seed Its hard to get sub 16 and lower Plus this runs bastion route wasnt the most efficient cuz boomer/jackpot route is better And u will most likely get much better rng than couriway and this seed wasnt even avarage

nah you dont know bad strongholds until you enter at 12:30 and the starter room has 3 skeletons, the place leading to the starter has 6 creepers and they all blow up and you die next run enters pr at 15:40 and theres like 4 skeletons that followed me (i was playing on normal in all these runs) so they have decent accuracy, so many spiders and creepers and die that day i quit speedrunninf
