Mauritania is cold and desert because of some geographical factors:- 1. cold canary current which is coming from artic 2. easterlies means air flow from east to west and Mauritania is in western side. 3. as it is a costal country or sea is nearby so high pressure and low pressure develop and change of air took place (sea breeze and land breeze). 4. it is tropical country. but because of pint no. 1 and 2 it is deserted no rainfall.
