What makes Kojima such a different creator is that there is always a bigger message in his games, and Death Stranding is probably the only game with the direct intention to connect, unite and inspire people to work together today. We live in cynical and often times cruel world and its commendable from Kojima to want to do a game with the intention to try and alleviate and better our society in someway, he could have done any other action game with ease but he didn't, he is reminding us that the human connection in the end is the most important thing our species has ever known.....

Death stranding isn't only about connecting humanity but it also speaks in a 4th wall breaking way. It's a direct slap on the face of the video game culture and how Devs are afraid to take risks and do something unique. Nobody complains when your next major triple A title is an FPS game and just involves shooting but why complain when a game gets back to the starting point, the fundamentals and focuses more on walking? That's the video game culture that just got slapped in the face by kojima's death stranding.

He looks so genuinely happy to see how many people came, and not because of ego or anything, but because he was able to make them happy. People really like to talk about Kojima's ego but I believe he is only happy that he is able to make so many of us feel the same way. Keep on keeping on, Kojima.

Laughing at how many of those people cheering like crazy must have been completely lost playing the actual game. And how many actually finish it? I'm amazed how well that publicity campaign has been orchestrated without any hint about the story or the characters.
@LDub010319944 жыл бұрын
I played the game and even plat'd it (though the plat for this game is easier than others). I enjoyed the game very much because surprise, surprise there is actually things to enjoy in the game for people who play! Doesn't mean everyone will like it but people claiming that there is nothing to the game when there is combat, stealth, boss fights, and ample construction and building mechanics that require preparation and some planning. So I am sure many of those fans came out enjoying the game while others didn't. It isn't a game for everyone. I agree with you on that last sentence. Kojima treated this game in the inverse of what he did with MGSV where basically if you saw the trailers to MGSV you knew the game. With Death Standing, the trailers actually spoil a lot for the characters and story (look at the DS Launch Trailer for example) but the thing is nobody really knew that because it isn't spoiler-y until you play the game and understand the full context and then you realize the trailers do give you large parts of the plot.
@Alex_Logan224 жыл бұрын
LDub78 That’s only because it was a new IP, not cause it was any kind of different marketing. In fact most people who were disappointed by MGSV simply were because it didn’t entail what they were expecting from the trailers based off of pre-conceived franchise context (that ultimately played little role).
