In 1999 our family visited the twin towers, not knowing that two years later tragedy will strike. Life could change in a blink of an eye. Let's enjoy life like there is no tomorrow and pray for all that perished in 9/11

I was on top of the South Tower last time back in 1997 when I was 14. Same day my family and I went to see the Ed Sullivan Theater (me and my dad were huge Letterman fans at the time) and I ate lunch and hung out and talked to Rupert Gee, owner and proprietor of the Hello Deli and who I would consider a legend of comedy gold for being one of the first people to "troll" someone. Hilarious stuff and Rupert was SUCH an awesome guy and let me take tons of pictures and told me all these stories. This was before the internet was even a big thing and it was almost surreal to be sitting there talking to him.

Wow, that is an amazing view. I would have loved to have seen the original Twin Towers. This past year on June 13, 2021 I went to the 103rd floor of Willis Tower AKA Sears Tower in Chicago. I was up 1,353 feet up and cars looked like small toy cars and people looked like small bugs from that height. When looking down I eerily was thinking is this what the people in the Twin Towers from the upper floors were seeing before they fell or jumped to their deaths on 9/11. Absolutely terrifying to think about.

On June 12, 2021 when me and my mom were arriving in Chicago it was pouring down rain and it was so scary driving because you couldn't see the other cars in front of you. It did start cleaning off as evening was setting in. We went to the Hancock Tower on the 94th floor 1,050 feet up. We did the tilt and honestly liked it better than the Willis Tower. The next day when we went to Willis Tower it was sunny and bright with no clouds in sight. It was eerie how it poured rain the day before and the following day the sun was shining bright with not a cloud in sight.

OMG THOSE TWIN TOWERS WERE SOO BIG AND BEAUTIFUL BOTH OF THE BUILDINGS HAD 107 FLOORS MY GOSH I WOULDN'T GO ON TOP OF THE TOWERS. TO THE VERY LAST FLOOR IT'S SCARY TO SEE THE CARS SOO TINY.. AND BESIDES AM AFRAID OF HEIGHTS.. I FEEL LIKE AM GOING TO FALL OFF THE BUILDINGS..

I'm afraid of heights too. I can't watch this. I'm hurt because of the people who made a choice to jump, or to burn to death.

look how narrow the windows were, it's almost like a steel wall. There's no way a plane could slice right through it without the help of carefully timed charges.

If the towers survived, there wouldn't be thousands of deaths. I guess a few people would of died.

I’ll say it again anyone who got to visit these towers are so lucky you have no idea just seeing them in person or driving by them you’re lucky. I was really young but i lived in NY all my life. Born in 96’ but I’ve been to Manhattan in 1999-2000 ish so I know I probably seen the buildings but too young to know what they really were or to remember lol. Really is sad what happened years later🥺

@@Gencturk92 The western world? The story is real it was radicalised Al Qaeda terrorists who did it because they hated the western world for no apparent reason.
