World War 2 cinematic battle scene in Blender 2.91 | EEVEE | CYCLES

3 жыл бұрынBlender 3d animation of World War 2 scene. The entire scene was animated and rendered in Blender 2.91. Some of the scenes were rendered in the real-time renderer EEVEE. The ocean scenes and the Explosion scene was rendered in Cycles for more photo-realistic results. The explosion was created in Embergen and Exported as VDB Sequence and shaded in Blender.

Storyline:
August 10th, 1942. Two Brave US pilots in their P40s successfully bomb the Japanese destroyer off the coast of Alaska.

The shockwave on water surface always makes explosions epic. That can be fairly simulated with dynamic paint or even using the simulation as a force

Awesome work! Especially love the camera angles, choice of focal length and animation! It is so often done in an artificial feeling way in CG - but yours feel really grounded and realistic :)

Yeah another comment said something about rescaling a baked simulation, like creating a small explosion then increasing it afterwards. It could be that.

You've inspired me to make an animation like that myself. I've made the model stuck in texturing tho. Great work keep it up! Just one thing- You could have made it more realistic by closing the cockpit cuz in real they aren't open but other that-awesome!

Nice work! The lighting and the camerawork is amazing. Really sells the idea that it's filmed in the actual sky. Obviously has some flaws, but overall great job. Some thing that can be worked on - in one shot the ship has a wake behind him, in the next no wake. Also, a blast of this size would have produced quite visible shock-wave in the water. For a one person project this is still quite good though.

The teal grading makes almost all CGI look cheap in modern movies. I would go for photorealism instead of the grading.

idk, it looks like to me cheap 3D animation without color grading. Look twice. I am graphic designer and it hurts my eyes if I kept it like that without color grade.

No actually at that particular frame it looked fake. But in total it was very good ... Look at sea. And the moist reflection on the wings. Wonderful.
