The best way to create a war is to make the people feel divided for years and give them a feeling of hopelessness by creating all kinds of smaller problems and then create and demonize an enemy and ramp up conflict. This will create unification and relieve anxiety while the people can only feel relief that they have something in common they can relate to. You can lead any people's in any direction by doing this and always claiming to be the ones on the side of "good" at all costs. This seems to have been done numerous times especially with America (but also other countries) and we fall for it everytime not realizing who the real enemy is who do not care about life at all but only their own profits and gains.

A lot of the battle scenes from WWI were actually filmed well behind the front line, or back here in England.

This was excellent. "For the common good, for the society as a whole, defender of the weak, moral duty".

@fermatichebellosei1595 The Ottomans had been raping the balkans for more than 300 years at that point and the Austrians oppressed and massacred balkan peoples for more than 70 years. And then they planned to deny Serbia its rightful territory in Bosnia. 20 years of “scheming” is nothing in comparison to what the Central powers had been doing.

To an Austrian, Princip was a terrorist. To a Serbian, he was a freedom fighter.

Don't be fooled, the propaganda is MUCH, MUCH more effective now. We get hit by military grade psychological manipulation on a daily basis if we follow the news or politics.
