After exploring Luxembourg in a day on #TheDayTripShow, we took a day trip from Lucerne, Switzerland to #Vaduz, Liechtenstein.
Exploring a new country in a day is definitely exciting when it is one of the least visited countries across Europe. Our day trip to Vaduz started with a trip to the tourism office and getting our passports stamped. Next, we hiked up to see the Vaduz Castle where the royalty lives and then headed to a Subway to grab the cheapest available lunch. Liechtenstein is definitely expensive, even more than Switzerland.
After lunch, we walked some more around the Vaduz for our Vaduz city tour around the town centre, the cathedral and headed straight to the Liechtenstein-Switzerland border. However that was not the end of our day. Our last trip was to the isolated Gutenberg Castle. It got dark and somewhat creepy with no soul to be found on the road. After an eventful day, we took our train back to Lucerne via Zurich.
#TuneInToWCN to watch The Day Trip Show, a show in which we take day trip from popular cities to smaller towns, cities and countries and explore them within the day!

Good informative video. The story told by the girl was quite motivational. Actually giving or doing something for someone or developing a habit of doing small acts of kindness often are the keys to a happy and successful life.

Thanks for this video, well done 🙂 I am from Liechtenstein and live in Vaduz. In 6:29 you say that it is some other government building. Actually it is the old parliament building, used by the government. I think it is much nicer than the new one. And there is a free local bus now that stops just before the old wooden bridge. So less walking 😂

Thanks for this :)). So intrigued with this adorable country!!... And I really loved what you said about acts of kindness. It is very true. Yet it seems so absent (and hard to trust) in our world with the global selfie culture. I have always found the kindness of strangers - those we will never know or never see again- the most remarkable and heartwarming in my own life. xx

Shamefully speaking, I have literally passed through this country several times in the past 30 years but never have taken the time to explore around. Out of boredom staying at home during this unfortunate “lockdown” period, I thought I will make my bucket list and happen to see your brief but informative video guide which certainly provide me added incentive to take a closer look at this scenic region of Europe in the near future. Many thanks for sharing your adventure!

Thank you for your wonderful travel video of Liechtenstein. 😍🇱🇮 I really enjoyed it. Its my dream destination and hoping someday I can fulfill my dream of visiting the Principality. Im planning to take a 7 day vacation, visit also the neighboring countries, Switzerland and Austria, and will schedule on their National Day so that I might have the chance to meet the Prince and the rest of the Royal Family. 😅😁

I just saw the video and your answer to it. Please come and visit our country, I'm sure you'll like it. Unfortunately due to Corona, we had very restricted festivity on our National day in 20/21. Maybe next year it will be back as usual, and yes you can meet the Royal Family, no joke. In the morning there will be a public church mass next to the castle followed by an aperitif in the castle garden. Because of the crowds getting bigger and bigger, they introduced a ticket system, but it's not easy to get one. In the afternoon the royal family walks through Vaduz and everybody can talk to them.

Very informative and nice video. Just a quick question: Is the 1 day bus pass valid for that day only or is it a 24 hour pass? Can you pay the driver directly and do they accept cards? I will be visiting Liechtenstein in few days time and staying 1 night in Malburn. Did you walk around all the places you showed in the video? Thanks.

Thank you for a very nice video. It's the best video to show how to get from Zurich to Vaduz. I have traveled to Europe in the colder months several times and the tourist crowds are absent. I plan to go to Zurich in January or February. Was there any part of this trip to Vaduz that was confusing and required asking questions to clarify? Thanks again.

Frankly speaking it’s look like boring country to visit it’s better to explore Swiss village apart from that you can’t even see the castle properly I think it’s totally waste of time I will definitely explore Swiss village or visit Andorra if anyone want just stamp on passport or just want to add that I visit one more country then it’s ok for that else it’s superbly waste of time & money it’s better to explore Swiss village or Andorra 🇦🇩 small country in Europe between France & Spain

As soon as went to eat at Subway, I stopped watching. That's mortifying.... you're in Lichtenstein!! There had to be something more tasty and European to eat that wasn't expensive. Yuck!!!🤢🤮
