This refers to playing back existing recordings through a speaker or speakers in real-world acoustic situations, and recording that playback with microphones so that the new recording takes on the acoustic characteristics of the place it was "re-recorded." He explains things so well! He's a great teacher.Basically he's talking about doing convolution reverb manually and the HAAS effect on stereo widening using tiny millisecond delays. But heexplained it so anyone can understand.Not many people are both gifted teachers and experts- Heri

Amazing. Really dig the idea of playing back the audio in a place and re-recording it on to other recorder. I was wondering: 1)Did you play it back of the Near or Far field speakers? 2)Did you use cardioid or more directional pattern mic to do that? Must have been tough to align the tapes after...
