POV was on the left side of the lane, and the car that was stopped was on the right side of the lane. I'd rather sideswipe a car that's already moving rather than clip the back of one that's stopped.

I can usually tell they are going to brake check when they match my speed, and/or take forever to pass. Even more irritating is when there is no traffic ahead when they do this.

This is why, if you're going to rear end someone on the freeway, you should take the slow rear end collision and never veer, unless it's off of the road, or into an area you know is 100% clear, but good luck making sure it's clear when you're about to hit the car in front of you. Moral is just have a brain and fallow further away, as well as be hyper vigilant about people doing this too you and dodging into your lane from a slow moving line of cars. The truck in the video should've seen the car not slowing down and gotten on the brakes early just in case he either came into his path himself (just like he did) or pushed another car into his path after he rear ended the line of cars. Looking back from 3:31, seeing brake lights go on suddenly and cars get unsettled, I would have done my best to slow down instead of just hoping people stayed in their lanes.

Tried recording he has a green, but could have easily been red since it lasted so long that he crashed, got out of the car, started to record, started limp out of way. Yet still solid green? Seems like he had a red and was just trying to cover his azz

Clearly there was a car blocking the lane to the left of the cammer, just because the cop has his lights on doesn’t mean he gets to cut people off in traffic and then act like it’s their fault

Its law up here in Canada to, there isn't many places that dont have the move over law

Also if an emergency vehicle has their lights on they DO have THE RIGHT OF WAY, so yea he does kinda have the right to pull out while lights are on. YOU as the driver are to slow down and be on point, they might have to jump out of his cruiser unexpectedly or pull out in a hurry if the person tries to drive away on them. its common sense, Cop probably checked n seen lights coming but assumed they were following the law and moving slow.... Plus these lazy state workers have a tendency to leave them up after work is complete and keep the bottleneck going rather than take everything down. Their goal is to work slow AF. They just sit in their trucks if it's raining. But the exit thing is the most egregious. In NJ they will offer no warning ahead of time, and NJ is a state in which being in the wrong lane can mean 30 miles driving in the wrong direction. They will offer no signed detours. I shed no tears for public sector scum.

If you can't pull over into the other lane then you're supposed to yield right-of-way to emergency vehicles running code (ie. lights and/or sirens), regardless of normal rules. That's why that idiot at the end got pulled over.

Very irritating when you need to move over and the car next to you is preventing that from happening...
