The time I spent finishing this game is just about the only bit of my youth I don't consider to have been mis-spent. Awesome stuff all round.

This game really, really pissed me off. It took me nearly 7 months to beat this game. It took a lot of effort. The guy playing this game made it look sooooo easy. I am extremely jealous!!!

The Chris Houlihan Room is a secret room in A Link to the Past. It contains 45 Blue Rupees scattered on a shining blue floor and a Telepathy Tile on the back wall. The tile says "My name is Chris Houlihan. This is my top secret room. Keep it between us, okay?"[1] This may be a reference to the famous quote from The Legend of Zelda. While the room exists in the Game Boy Advance version of the game, Chris Houlihan's name is not mentioned.[

Nintendo held a contest in a 1990 Nintendo Power magazine, where a randomly-selected winner would get to appear in a future NES game. To win, the person had to take a picture of the elusive Warmech boss in the game Final Fantasy, and mail it to Nintendo Power. I might get in trouble for saying this, but you can skip the NES Zelda. If you are a game "historian" and you want to see the first game like it, then play it. There was nothing like it at the time and it was amazing. I would personally just go straight to "A Link to the Past." Everything that works great in the first Zelda is there. Everything new that was added is just perfect. Been gaming for 27-28 years. This is one of the best games made.

A rather subpar longplay, if you ask me. Too many do-overs and repeats. Thanks for having the patience to take us down this trip of nostalgia. It's a good game.

It's a very difficult question. I've played both of them when they were released. When I played OOT, I thought it was the best game ever with the story, the 3D and all... But today, I think that OOT's graphics, in comparaison to ALTTP, show their age...
