I tried all methods myself on my 2017 iPad Pro (which does have the Touch ID button), I admit I was a bit nervous and didn’t apply too much pressure. Which resulted in no luck. However, my husband tried immediately after and it was a complete success after a firm massage on the back/front of the iPad. THANK YOU!

I have ipad pro 9.7 with home button so how I did it is, pressing power and home button at the same time for a couple of seconds, then it should open. But today my iPad is not working even with this. WOW - iPad Pro 5th generation 12.9” model A2378, purchased Dec ‘21, so 13 months old - screen just went black, and reset options didn’t work. I pressed down on it firmly, all over the front and back and it then turned on - glad I found this video!!!!!!!

Hey dude, thanks for this. I tried it on my ipad with a home screen button (even though you said not to) that had gone completely black. I’m writing this out in case someone else is in my position. I saw another video saying it hit it in a specific way, but that didn’t work so I was skeptical. I decided to try massaging it first like in the video. then hitting it lightly on the back, then turned it over and pressed on the bottom right spot next to the home button. Before it turned completely black, it had first turned into a screen of lines, and I noticed if I pressed sort of hard on the bottom right of the ipad frame the lines would move and sometimes clear up a little, but that spot did nothing once the screen went black. So after massaging and hitting it I turned it around and pressed around in that area again and my ipad went back to normal! Hopefully it stays this way, but at least I got it back to normal so I could make sure to back everything up to icloud.

The first method worked for me. I have an ipad 11 pro. Only had it for like 4 days and it shut off from me. I was making flashcards on my goodnotes 6 app and my screen started glitching from the bottom and then the whole screen started glitching and turned black but light was still coming from it. I got it turned off but it wouldn’t turn back on and so here I am. I got it turned back on. Thank you so much! But now I wanna know why the heck did it start glitching? 😢
