I show you how to fix an iPad Air 5 (5th generation 2022) that has a black screen where the screen will not turn on even though the iPad is on. All these steps you can do from your home and they all easy possible fixes nothing to do with taking the iPad apart. You’re a life savor. I was doing the hard reset wrong I think. Not using the power button at the end. I had an app set up and now no longer need it! I was having a hard time not being able to use my iPad! Thank you!!! I thank God I was led to your video.

My ipad was working just fine the other night until I came back to my room to check on it and saw that not only was it not charging, but wouldn't turn on. After many google searches, multiple attempts of fixing it, and a few youtube videos in the span of 2 days, i watched this video, and thought i may as well try these out; at this point i was desperate, fearing the worst, i spammed the power button, tapped the screen, vol up vol down and power, rinse and repeat, then the last time i held down the power button, not expecting anything to happen right away, the apple logo appeared on my screen! This video was an absolute life saver, thank you so much!!

Mine just went black and I tried the button combo you suggest... thankfully it worked. I had to hold the power for almost a full minute, and I was worried that nothing was going to happen, but thankfully it came back on and it's working again!

Plug in what you need, be sensible about it & keep it movin' The construction is plastic but it's a sturdy piece. It has a single toggle switch & the swivel jacks are useful as well. Plugged in next to Tripp Lite Isobar takes some of these reviews with a pinch of sumthin' - does what it says & functions properly.Had for about a month. Perfect no complaints will update if anything changes.

I can't believe this worked but it did for me after HOURS of doing every button combination, trying to restore from iTunes in DFU mode, etc. It was in the freezer for 5 minutes and turned right on. Still can't believe it.

I share this here in case it helps anyone: After watching the video and trying out its suggestions without any success, I decided to give the freezer method a shot. I left my device in the freezer for about 6-7 minutes. Initially, when I tried to turn it on, nothing happened. So, I just left it on my desk. To my surprise, after five minutes, the Apple logo appeared on its own and started normally. Now, I'm in the process of testing it, and everything seems to be functioning just want. Had the freezer trick not worked, I was prepared to try it again, but for a longer period.

Thank you very much. Had bought the iPad air 5 just 5 months back. Was very much upset that it was not working. Tested and found the charger and cable ok. As suggested by you tried the method 2 - connected the charger, then pressed up and down volume button and then power on button . Lo apple logo appeared and it is working now. Tried the first method first with power chord and the screen showed that I had to connect to the computer to restore. Tried the first method again without the power chord and it worked. Thank you so much. Saved me a trip to the Apple Store.

My problem appeared when I connected it to my PC by USB. For more than 24 hours I was trying to do a reset it with all possible methods with no success (DFU mode etc.). I believed it had been damaged. Neither turning on nor giving me sign it was charging. Thank you for getting me away from bringing my device to a repair center or buying a new device for hundreds of euros.
