@@MosesMatsepaneour own fault for grinding our way to the final against the best teams and just running out of steam after the NZ game, beating an inform NZ is hard enough on the best of days let alone in a WC semi. We peaked a game early. Guess that happens when you gotta play Aussies and the all blacks before you even play the final. Great game and on the day SA wanted it more, fair bloody play to you all.

hello a little message from a supporter of the French team... Congratulations to the English team for this great match against New Zealand. the English team gives a lesson in professionalism to the French team. the English team has certainly worked hard to achieve this level: work on physics, psychology, tactics and game strategy. bravo to you gentlemen. the French team must be inspired by the English team for the next World Cup. a lot of work to do.

Wallabies used to be one of the best teams, it’s falling. What’s happened to their defence? It’s bloody hopeless.
@OliCM34 жыл бұрын
Jasmine G Michael Cheika pushing this fanatical, All Black style ball in hand, heads up rugby is what’s failing them. He refused to prepare for England’s plan and drastically underestimated their attack game, labelling it as unimaginative, even though that unimaginative, well thought our plan has defeated them 6 times on the trot. He’s an embarrassment to a once great rugby nation, and needs to go.
@yk7seven9464 жыл бұрын
Problem is that the wallabies never had depth...what i mean is yeah they were the best in the world at one stage but unfortunately the best team they had at that time was the only team...they never bled through new players always played their A1 players even against low ranked teams..so when the A1 players had to retire...the new players had no chance and lower ranked teams are making them look stupid now...and they continue to do the same to this very day...so if you think they suck now...wait til its time for this sucky retires...its only going to get worse (sorry for the long rant)
@OliCM34 жыл бұрын
Ky Albert Not at all mate, I could talk rugby all day! I’m guessing you’re Australian? Do you blame RA more than Cheika? As an England fan, it seems to me that Cheikas inability to accept his own teams performance as the reason for the bad results is the Wallabies down fall. He refuses to change his game plan, refuses to field different players, and refuses to accept any wrong doing. In the post match interview, he actually said he’d rather lose playing his way, then adapt a more kick & defend game, and claims that’s what Australia wants. Not only is he a hopeless tactician, he’s a deluded idiot. Surely there’s someone in Australia who could do a better job? It’s a shame to see one person completely fail such a potentially great team. I hope they’re sorted by the next WC.

@World Rugby. Thanks very much indeed for uploading this. I support England, and yesterday we beat what was clearly a very good side playing well. Beale was very dangerous, and their winger left Elliot Daley for dead! I'm English and have family in Oz. I love both countries. The rivalry is one of the aspects I love watching this game between both side. Unlucky Australia, tactically they were naive. They have the players with the right tactics to be a force once again? Who should be there next coach?

Canadian here, I followed the game briefly around 2001-04. I didn't know what a golden age that was for Australia, I just assumed they were always good. But I been reading a lot lately about the decline of the Wallabies and union in Australia. That can't be good for the world game when a super power goes downhill.

Can't wait for the match, but I don't know... The Kiwis just never lose at a World Cup, do they? Hoping for an England vs Wales final though!
@sethharris17604 жыл бұрын
Same but if wales play how they played against France South Africa will destroy them.
@elwulfcoe16964 жыл бұрын
@@sethharris1760 I have no doubt it'll be a different game. I don't know, Wales have waited long enough for an appearance in a final, I just think they could be Dark Horses for the tournament. They're that 'almost but just not quite there yet' team, balancing on the line between the elite teams like NZ and the teams below them. But I reckon they have a good chance of getting to the final, as Wales can beat anyone (on their day) let's hope its their day! If England don't get there I'd actually like Wales to win it, given how much they love the game I think it'd be nice for them to have that. It'll top off a great decade for Welsh sport with Euro 2016 and the emergence of the likes of Bale and Ramsey. Though, beint English I'm afraid if we do face one another, I can only support England! But... If you manage it, fair play to you.

@paulmulryne84053 жыл бұрын
Watch this and then watch the final - it’s easy to see how SA won! Australia’s defence here is so passive. That generated really quick ball and Youngs / Farrell have time and space to pick runners. Compare that to the final where SA met England on or behind the gain line with massive tackles, slowed ball down with great work in the ruck. They starved England of space and ball until they just ran out of ideas. SA were totally on their own game as well of course. Deserved winners.
@georgecartner69283 жыл бұрын
I'm a bit late but I think one of the main reasons that England lost is because England had not had many close matches. Pool stages we dominated, quarters another domination, and the semis we actually had no real competition against NZ as they were not playing like normal. If we had had some tougher games I think we could've won it.
@paulmulryne84053 жыл бұрын
@@georgecartner6928 I disagree mate. South Africa hoodwinked everyone into thinking they were just one dimensional and attritional. Their fans like to go on about our arrogance etc etc, but actually the majority of people wrote them off - you can only go with what you see and SA hadn’t shown anything like that. I think they’re the no.1 side in the world right now. I think they would have beaten anyone in that final including NZ.
@Centre142 жыл бұрын
@@georgecartner6928 i believe that is a factor. but i think we lost because we couldn't deal with SA's rush defence. and having ford at 10 didn't help too.

The English National rugby team vs. Kurtley Beale
@matthapps13404 жыл бұрын
Beale isn’t a great player, don’t get me wrong he has some awesome moments only he is capable of, but for consistency and reliability, he shouldn’t be in the team. He gave the ball back to England so many times in that game ( not shown on highlights ) and I’m not talking about that pass to nothing where the final try came from. He does things that work 1/10 times, and backfires the other 9/10
@sweetmana234 жыл бұрын
55th minute Aus were on attack, they had a chance for an easy three points yet they decided to go for the scrum and hope for a try. They were behind 27-16. 9 minutes later Eng had a penalty and yes the took the option to kick for goal. 30-16. This totally changed the dynamic of the game for Aus. I was scratching my head thinking they had 25 mins of game time to win. Ah well what an amazing RWC '19 Japan so far.
