This style of play is sad/bad for the game. Rules need to be amended, 1 point for a drop goal, 2 for a penalty. Its pathetic u can get 3 points for possession at the half way line with an accurate kick, when u only get 5 for breaking the defensive line all the way to a try. Its a cheap style of play, may win England the WC but its not in the spirit of rugby, and its an exploitive style of play where the wins are hard to respect.

I'm missing the argument. Isn't a try 5pts? That's more than a penalty and drop goal. The reason Ford resorted to drop kicks was because they were down 1 man after only a few minutes of the game. England had limited offense options and Ford knew he could kick drop goals. BTW AB coaches have gone on record that they don't believe in drop goals and they are they have most WC wins. So kicking drop goals doesn't always guarantee wins.
