I tell you, Argentina is serious with their Rugby program. They send their young players overseas to learn and get experience. I once saw a high school rugby team from Argentina at a bus stop in Rotorua few years ago and I over heard them saying they came to train and play with NZ boys their age. They even performed a haka at the bus stop at the request of the Maori fella they were chatting to. Congrats baby Pumas! Vamos!

Well done Argentina!! Deserved… SA has been poor for a while at U20s. And they won comprehensible without all the money and with less resources than South Africans. Well done indeed.. embarrassment for SA given their rich rugby youth programs..

The reason why Arg got all those cross kicks is because they win the collisions and gain line. Our defence is designed to stop that but obviously they couldnt do that, hence space out wide. And it seems our backline only relies on Julius to create something out of nothing. We didnt put enough pressure in defence and we also didnt create set piece tries (score board pressure) from lineouts, etc. We played too little in their half, our territorial game seems to be lacking. Not even one counter att try shows just how little mistakes we could force via pressure and then not capitalize on those misktakes. Seems to me this team has no soul, just going through the motions, no direction.

Great ref'ing that just gave SA the driving try from the lineout instead of a penalty try and yellow card at beginning of 2nd half & even called a forward pass, albeit after a lengthy review!

I agree I think it's a symptom of a bigger issue in our backline. Our defence also was lacking tbh, especially up front, hence all that cross field kicks, nobody even tries to put pressure on the kicker.

That tried denied to Aegentins was wrong. That was not a forward pass, just look at te the grass the second angle is from a tricky angle.

It has been on the cards for a while now. After the current crop of Springboks retire, there will be a considerable dip is SA rugby quality. Most of the current ones have moved overseas permannently with their families with no intention of coaching or developing SA youth. Meanwhile talent scouts are picking good players to play overseas directly after school. Will be interesting to see where they find themselves in te next 5-7years…

Thanks heavens it's their last game against Wales for 7th place otherwise they will play for last place in a weeks time. There is a serious coaching and team selection problem there.
