So, I got a chance to take a look at this cordless heated straightening brush, and it is the first one that I have seen on the market. The question is, is it ready for the market or will this hair tool have too many flaws with too high of a price tag. It does come with a $200 price tag. I'm gonna compare it to a great heated straightening brush that is already on the market and see how this one stacks up.

I got a tymo after watching one of your older videos. I have wavy hair that holds any shape you put it in, it will hold in a ponytail for hours after the hair tie is gone. I love the tymo. My renter with coily hair tried it and keeps stealing mine so she’s getting one for her birthday next month. 🤣🤣🤣

Hi. I've got the old model with a cord. I find it's always best to brush out my hair before straightening with any tool. Lot less hair fallout that way & hair straightens faster 🙂

Looks kinda cool. Not the first “cordless” one of its kind though. I had a cordless heat up brush back in the late 90’s-early 2000’s, it might have been a Conair but I can’t remember, it used a little butane tube to power it, worked pretty well but the butane could only power it for a few uses then you’d have to replace the butane tube.

Beatrice Ladouce it was a little bottle full of liquid butane and when you turned on the brush it turned the liquid to a gas to power and heat it up lol. Not gonna lie it sounded a little scary when you turned it on. Came with a lot of warnings too.

I had the mid-'80s Braun version. It was a curling iron with two barrels of different sizes, plus a brush barrel. I really liked it and used it several times per week for well over a dozen years. I only stopped because it got too hard to find cartridges, and their prices skyrocketed. And yes, when you turned it on, you had to listen for the "snap" just as with other gas appliances. There was no exposed flame and I never had any issue with burning or setting things on fire. (It also had a cover that, when in place, prevented any ignition or leakage.) Now I have the modern equivalents, a rechargeable cordless straightener and a curling iron, both from Chi. They're decent enough to be my main tools only because I use them 0-2 times per week. Battery life is meh, so if I used them daily, I'd go back to a bigger, heavier, corded unit (weight and ease are big factors for me). I've recently received a Tymo Ring but haven't used it yet. Being long and corded, it may be too cumbersome for my arthritis and limited range of motion, but I'm hopeful about it.

Actually it's not the world's first cordless heated brush! Back in the early 90's I had a cordless hot brush! It used butane cartridges and to turn it on you pushed a button that sounded like a lighter lol 😆 it obviously didn't have much control for tempature since it worked like a gas stove it was either hot or not and smelled like butane while you used it! It was made by braun and I loved it! Look it up on ebay you should totally get one and try it for your channel! 😁

Should use a heat protect before using any tool. That maybe why the friz. Also, maybe run regular brush or comb to get some of the tangles out and as that could possibly cause some of the friz when using the tool.
