That X-Men arcade is a work of art! Complete Masterpiece!!!!

Now THATS the xmen arcade machine size i grew up with!

I would call off on a Monday and play all day and tell no one. This would be my new hiding spot.

This and Galloping Ghost Arcade are like the Mecca of Arcade gamers! You have to make a pilgrimage just to bask in the sheer glory of all of those wonderful arcade machines. Hell I'll make a pilgrimage alone just to play that freaking X-Men Arcade!!!!

I don't know how i got here but i remember seeing X men arcade machines at various pizza restaurants back in the late 90s. You know, when video games were video games. I miss those times

As a Madison native we're blessed with three full arcades. Each one is special in their own way and worth a visit.

I saw an Initial D machine...the best racing arcade game ever...my local arcade closed years ago. I miss going to the arcade when I was 14 and racing other people...good times.

I live here and went to Geeks Mania when it first opened. It was way too loud, only 1 room and too many machines were out of order. Then about 2 months ago my son's friend had a bday party there. I was surprised how drastically the place has improved. Now several rooms with probably 5X the games, including the amazing X-Men! Glad you could come check it out PD7!

Damn. It was so awesome to have every spot of a 6 player X man game filled. A little commentary: It didn't matter what your race,creed,or sexual orientation was,you were usually more than welcome to join in on a common journey,to have fun.

Galloping Ghost Arcade in Brookfield, Illinois is the largest arcade but yeah that’s a unique X-Men Arcade portion. It looks wonderful.

when I was a kid there used to be a huge ass arcade place that was one of the first card only credity places. They specialized in nothing but huge arcades like that, I'll never forget playing primal rage on a screen that big. The volume was up so high the ground shook when you jumped and hit eachother.

In the 80s in every average arcade I found that Super Hang-on and Return of the Jedi were the loudest in sounds, but Defender is the loudest of all time when in Demo mode😮

I was the bomb rag doll all the kids would avoid at the rollerblading birthday parties. Once I ate enough bumps and bruises x men arcade was the rest of the party for me ❤

I’ve got an original 4/player Konami X-men in my home arcade collection, but the way they did that 6 player setup is killer! I also love how they’ve got the JAMMA board In acrylic so that you can see it’s the original game. Never knew this arcade existed, but definitely going to make a trek to see it.

Great place, awesome tour. I took my son here for the first time a few months ago, he loved it! There's at least 3 more retro arcades in the area too: IO, nerdhaven, and Aftershock. All gems also!

This place is nuts , I keep thinking the video is over and you keep finding more . One thing this place is missing is chairs n stools , Im too tall and old to do my old school squat to play those old cabinets .

Wow ive seen that x-men online before. I had no idea it was close to you!

This is the best local arcade, and our first legit arcade in over a decade (though two or three more have opened since). The original owner hand built the 6 player xmen off a 4 player version. All custom, and loosely made to kind of have a cerebro vibe. I was there amd got to assist in assembly of the podiums for each player.

I'm blown away by that X-Men room. I was expecting it to just be the original 6-player cab, maybe with some visual upgrades or something, but wow, this made my jaw drop. I'd love to play through that game. Worth checking out the arcade just for that, evem with Galloping Ghost just 20 minutes away from me.

This place reminds me of the arcade at my old mall! Ive yet to see an arcade that has the okd afterburner game, not the stand one but the one you say in. It was my favorite game growing up.

I used to live in Madison Wisconsin and went to geeks mania arcade a lot. They have loads of great games and it's a fun place to be. I wish there was a arcade like that where I live now.

It's big, but I don't know if this is the largest. People tell stories of a limited special edition X-men 6 player arcade machine that was released in Asia. It was released in the 1990s to only a handful of locations. I think less than 10 units were ever made. This Asian 6 player X-Men machine was massive from what people say. Apparently the machine had auditorium style seating with two rows. Each player had their own seat, and each had their own control panel for their character. You had to sit in the seat of the character you wanted. The game was then projected on a massive theater screen in front of all the players. Like 200+ inches wide. A mini theater screen. It was quite the spectacle from what people described. Several people have mentioned it on social media. But unfortunately no pictures have emerged of it. Since so few units were made, I'm guessing it's been lost to time. Possibly dismantled or destroyed. Very sad.

This machine is beyond awesome!!!!!! The Mighty Colossus is my very favorite super hero.

The last time I was there at geeks mania the X-Men arcade panel didnt look like that but it was still cool. That machine got played a lot by everyone. 🙂

Looks like One of the most awesome arcades in the country easily top 20 in USA most likely higher, esp for Xmen 6 player version.:).Love that they fit in some of the latest Pinballs, and some of the best classics.

I remember going to an arcade in my friends hometown and they 3 projector cabinets and one was Alien vs Predator and it was such a memorable time seing those sprites that was almost as big as me.

Awesome X-men set up! I really hope we get a new X-men beat em up with the love for X-men 97 and the beat em up revival. Something like SoR4 or Shredder's Revenge. And I might be getting the Arcade1up X-men cab soon...

I remember seeing X-Men there. One screen was slightly darker but it was impressive. If you like that size I would suspect you could emulate it and run it on a projector. I have a projector I use with my Legends Gamer Pro that takes up my whole back wall. It's an immersive experience. Got a cheap stereo hooked up to it.

This looks like a super cool arcade! While I think the X-men arcade game hasn't aged as well as Capcom beat-em ups, there is no denying it is a huge footnote in arcade history. The 6 player cabinet always was a show stopper in any arcade it was in. And this huge X-men is super cool! If you see a Star Trek TNG pinball machine, make sure you play it, as it is super rare to find one in the wild, because the cannons by the flippers that shoot the ball are apparently hard to find parts for. Its a little unfortunate that a lot of the games are in 16:9 stretched because of the monitors they are using, but this looks like a super cool arcade! I miss the good ole days of riding my bike to the arcade and spending as much time as I could on my allowance!
