WORLDS QUICKEST MK2 16V TURBO GOLF - 8.24 @ 169MPH

Жыл бұрынJulian Hermann Bayer from JHB Performance was at Santa Pod Raceway for VW Action in his 1000+ HP 16V Turbo Mk2 Golf. It runs a 50/50 AWD Setup, with Quaife gearbox. Checkout the 4 wheel burnouts.......
I left just before his last run, thinking that would be it for the day, and Julian got another run in, beating his previous best by another 3/100ths of a second, with a 8.24 @ 169mph. Luckily commentator Luke Stevenson who runs the VWDRC and European FWD Pages, managed to film the run, and kindly let me add it on to the end of my video.
This puts Julian just ahead of the Boba Motoring Mk2 Golf that has run a 8.26.
As far as I know the cars that run this engine are....
No 1 - 16Vampir Mk1 Golf - 8.20
No 2 - JHB Performance Mk2 Golf - 8.24
No 3 - Adrenalin Tuning Mk1 Golf - 8.25
No 4 - Boba Motoring Mk2 Golf - 8.26
Please let me know of any other Golfs running a 2.0 16V engine.

16v turbo has bigger valves than 1.8t or 8v higher cfm the longer intake runners and bigger flywheel is what makes more torque

I'd guess it's just the amount of power it's trying to put through the chassis and drivetrain.

Different setups. This is still a 2.0L 4cyl and the TTK (amazing Mk2) is a 3.0 V6

@Eymen5258 There are 4cyl dragsters in the 5's, and Civics in the 6's. This is however the quickest 4cyl Golf

J ai rien contre les voitures électriques puisque j ai vue une mustang moteurs tesla 800ch et 2800 Newton Mètre lui même ne ce douter pas de la pousser on a vue leur visage ce déformer ca devait pousser serieux 2800 newton metres c est mieux que les chevaux c est ca qui donne la puissance seul problème y a aucun bruit si il faisait des électrique à sound thermique il suffit d une bonnes radio des grosse enceinte cacher dans les passage de roues et protéger et internet et la radios font le reste le seul à y avoir penser c est lexus ils ont sortie un hyper cars avec le bruit thermique mais cas l intérieur de la voitures lexus et t une marque de voitures très chere mais intelligente de savoir qu on efface pas 100 ans d histoire automobile en un jours il faut ce bruit extérieur même pour les piétons qui n entende pas la voitures la marques électrique qui proposera ca ce vendront comme des petit pain croyait moi et l électrique et plus facile a construire moteur tesla fois deux et des batteries a perte de vue donneron les newton metres qui faut
