Guys, please remember that this isn't just a rogue-like game - you need to manage your resources! - Visit the lamb statue in the middle of your base when it starts glowing to level up your Divine Inspiration (which is how you gain more structures and easier means of gathering resources); when you're leveled high enough here, you can start making your cult self-sufficient (i.e. they cook for themselves, clean up after themselves, and tend to farms) - Pick berries and flowers, and gather wood (from trees AND practice dummies), stone, and bones from unbroken skeletons (both in your base AND within each dungeon room) - Gain meat from killing small animals (ex: squirrels) and catching spiders in your base at night - Pick paths which lead to the kneeling person symbols to gain more followers, but only pick this if your cult can sustain a new follower - Keep your base clean to avoid sickness AND to gain fertilizer for farming - Make beds for your followers so that they don't die from exhaustion (and give them necklaces when you find them - they all have special effects, but the moon necklace makes it so that a follower no longer requires rest, but still keep a bed for them in case they fall ill) - NEVER LEAVE YOUR BASE WITHOUT FEEDING YOUR CULT! Keep the stomach icon green, especially if you plan on being away for long periods - Doing small tasks for your followers when they ask for them can gain you a fair bit of Devotion (which you also need to keep in the green); you're free to decline them, though, if you feel that you can take the temporary decrease in Devotion from them. - Watch how your enemies move before throwing yourself at them - some jump, some charge, some fire projectiles, and the distance, firing rate, recharge time, and the width of their impacts will vary by their type! And never assume that you'll find hearts, especially before the bosses.

I see felling the last enemy and calling down the chest causes bones to rush to you - I take it smashing skeletons produces more bones still?

Thankfully, the skeletons automatically break into bones and are taken when you get the chest of a room (as long as you're not too far), so there's that.

@@Archgeek0 nope, letting the chest spawn collects all the bones automatically. He’s not doing anything wrong there besides probably not internalizing the mechanic

@@goblinounours there's tons of wrapped up corpses that don't drop bones unless you hit them first. There's also grass, flowers, and other environmental objects you can break and collect

Yeah, glad they're picking it up again... but then there's the conflicting feeling of seeing Arin being Arin and not paying attention to anything he does in the games he plays, setting the difficulty to hard, leaving rooms with obvious health or berries, looking like he's purposefully avoiding some tarot-card rooms... Classic Arin moves. ^^

@@goblinounours I imagine playing a game while being recorded while trying to banter with your friend in an entertaining way leaves a lot of room to make mistakes. Frankly, he's doing great.

@@Arctor-qd5ve Yeah but then maybe they should invest in face-cams if the focus is to be on what they're saying, if they're not paying that much attention to anything and need someone else telling them what to do. I mean, I'm trying to think, I don't know a lot of other people who do what the Grumps do without face-cam. Like @cassdun619 says, because of how little attention Arin pays to the game, he's making it worse for himself and reducing the chances of future episodes of this game, which is a fantastic game.

Like, I understand Arin struggles with paying attention, but look at the minimap in the corner. Track your resources. Destroy all the stuff to get more resources. DODGE!!! It's a Rogue like with fort management. Ya can't just go around swinging yer thing all willy-nilly.

I do love the voices and names they're giving all of the characters. Best part of the playthrough so far.

"In most rogue likes?" That is definitely not true. Peglin, Balatro, Luck be a Landlord, and Slay the spire are all rogue likes that don't even have real-time combat, let alone a dodge roll. Noita doesn't have a dodge roll, and Nova drift's dodge in Strafe is entirely optional, because it's an upgrade mod you need to collect in game. Not every rougelike is Hades.
