@@tmoon9297 We currently live in a world (at least the first world) in which there are now two gospels - the real one which sees God's mercy and grace from where his holiness, our sin and his justice place us (in hell if God so chooses) - and one which bypasses these things and presents God's love as if it is nothing more than sentimental and tolerant of our wrongdoing (if God is tolerant of our wrongdoing Jesus would not have had to die on the cross - no cross no Christianity). In the light of this reality - THIS is the battle we fight in the first world church - it's simply irresponsible to write lyrics like this - and she knows it - she is a false teacher. She did the same with The Blessing which allowed the world to imagine God is near us even as we continue to serve ourselves. You bring life to the barren places Light to the darkest spaces God, it's Your nature And she says: You bring joy to the broken hearted Hope to the ones who've lost it God, it's Your nature and There is no desert that Your streams can't run to There are no ruins that Your love won't make new You tell the wasteland that it will bloom again Cause it's Your nature That's rubbish. God will not lay his hand of blessing upon deliberate intention to defy him - which is the most common stance towards him - and not uncommon in the church. It is absolutely true that we can come to God no matter how despicable our sin BUT IT ISN"T POSSIBLE TO COME TO GOD NO MATTER WHAT OUR ATTITUDE IS TO OUR SIN. Psalm 51:17 ESV The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. Psalm 66:18-19 ESV If I had cherished iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not have listened. But truly God has listened; he has attended to the voice of my prayer. Any preacher or worship leader who is ignorant of this battle - who exploits the ignorance and weakness of others in respect of this battle - as is happening here - should not be endorsed and given oxygen.
