Isn't it interesting how you really were looking forward for this one and it came in structurally defective? Think of how the evil one can use this disappointment and how you can "put a finger in his eye" with your response. A lot of the time when I am really wanting or looking forward to something, he tries to disappoint and distract me. I am still in the process of learning how to discern that and thank God in the joy of anticipation and see what He has planned. ** And yes there is a way to help that book a little. PVA glue and a bookbinding kit. Amazon has them both. Maybe put it on your wish list? Thank you for sharing the experience!

Someone probably had it in the car. I know many people leave Bibles in cars all week long for church every Sunday. 😅 At least the inside looks great! Maybe have this rebound if it really bothersome. Thanks for sharing!

This was how my blue Jesus Bible was and I bought it at a brick-and-mortar store. After seeing your video, I think it's a case of defective materials. The blue leather was chaffing off, the end papers were peeling up, and it was a brand new Bible. Such a bummer.

I almost got the message that you have someone that you are either helping or will be helping with a devasting issue. See maybe the way the bible is coming apart or is a little worn out, which is getting you ready to help someone that is trying to get back up/get out of a bad situation and just needs you to help them thru. Maybe you got this bible because the good Lord wants you repair the bible in your own way, which will get you prepared to help the someone that you will be coming in contact with to help. I feel that message and that it is a really strong message. That is just how I felt and what came to my mind. But in any case, I hope you figure out what you will need to do. Good luck and God bless. Plastic does crack after years. It outgasses, losing its pliability. I don't think you can stop it from peeling any further. I bet that very Bible years ago was absolutely beautiful.

I have the hard cover ESV study Bible but I couldn’t stand the hard cover. I found a pair of leather pants for under $5 at a thrift store so I decided to make a new soft cover and recover it. I have never done it before but it was just like covering your books in school. If you just glue on some fabric it will stop the flaking from getting everywhere.

Did you try to seal the peeling with a glue? Maybe crazy glue. I use it a lot with my books. You could also put a book cover on it. It’s a real nice one:-))))

Honor system when it comes to the sellers and some have different standards of what they think is good.

My blue Jesus Bible looks like this too..unfortunately the material just isn’t good but I love the content on the inside I can ignore it. It got worn just by sitting in my desk…but now that I’m using it and it’s filled with notes and highlights and tears, I don’t care about how it looks. I actually like that it looks beat up. Sorry that you were disappointed but maybe the enemy was trying to discourage you from being excited about the Bible.

I think the newer printed Jesus Bibles have Ravi taken out so there might be slight differences in the older ones.

Not sure what it is with that bible but I have that exact bible and I literally used it less than 10 times and I was noticing that it was peeling. I have a pink one too I like the pink one better.

Does that seller have a return policy? I would open a dispute with ebay directly if the seller will not do anything.

All that sloppiness and glue failure is what a Bible looks like when it’s been left in the hot car.

I'm wondering why we are complaining so much about the defects that can be fixed or covered. The pages printed with God's word are like new! Isn't that what's important?! And the Ribbon, so it's gold.....I have found that we here in US have become so complaining, disregarding what's important. Glue the cover. Stop tearing it apart. Vanity.....😮

girl... that is not "like new" condition. that cover will continue to peel and deteriorate. i have pleather (fake leather, leather like) cover bibles and they will all do that after some time. so back to that seller and demand a refund for false advertising on their listing. the text block looks ok so the only fix for that cover peeling will be a rebind or cover with a fabric that you like. i did that instead of a rebind. i found a piece of fabric and glued it over the entire cover.i found a video on KZfaq that showed how to do this.

If someone sold this to me as “Like New” I would be requesting a refund. That was a dishonest listing and they shouldn’t be rewarded for lying. It’s one to list it as “Good” or “Acceptable” and someone may even pay $20 for it still. But you can’t list something as “Like New” and have it have condition issues like that.

Why would you need two Jesus Bibles?
