It is extremely hard to find the worst drops because the only way to find them is by digging around internet articles and old videos (there's no stats I can look at to find them), so I am sorry if there was any major ones I missed.

Well he was a beast in college if your comment is a knock on his pro "career". You're looking at well over 300 yards and 3 TDs on that defense that was "statistically", the #8 pass defense in the country.

That Ohio State drop was huge it would have changed the legacy of Texas and Vince Young. Amazing what 1 play can do

Ryan Hamby could have been a good player, but that drop really ruined his career. He was never the same after that play and the fans always gave him the mock cheer after every catch.

Penn State probably makes the rose bowl that year instead, absolutely wild that a drop may have prevented the greatest national championship ever from happening

I played wide receiver in high school and those plays where you are wide open and the QB gets the ball to you perfectly and you drop it: those hurt because you had a chance to pick up valuable yards after the catch and maybe even a touchdown and you forget to hang on to the ball. If I was coach now I would preach to my receivers constantly to secure the ball first when you are open and then think about what you are going to do after the catch. Obviously we are all human and we are not perfect. If we were perfect, life would be boring.

The drop by NO HANDS HAMBY for Ohio State in 2005 was absolutely gut wrenching. It cost Ohio State the game.

UGA fan/freshman at the time that game was played -- that dropped pass is the last thing I remember from that day. I turned a bottle of Jack up and blacked out for the first time.

Catching a football can be the easiest but most stressful thing to do in football, not a whole lot of people can catch a football going full speed with the game on the line.

I just knew the Keontay Ingram drop was gonna be on here. I was at the game in the student section and we were all ready to explode thinking he caught it and then it was just this collective “dammit” kinda feeling after he dropped it. Was still a great game and great memories

Alexi Maheras well if we had stopped them on 3rd and 17 could’ve tied it sooner. But nonetheless we didn’t and the better team won that night. Was such a great game was looking forward to driving down to Baton Rouge for the rematch but maybe next time

To be fair, a lot of these are 40+ yard touch-the-sky bombs running at full speed. With helmets on you need superior hand eye coordination to pull those in. I find drops in the red zone much more frustrating and maddening.

2:38 I was there...one of the best Miami teams in their history and the Hokies were that close to knocking them out of the national championship game (the 2 point conversion would have tied the game late in the fourth quarter). Nuts.

The most significant one here was likely at 3:45 when Ryan hamby can’t reel in the ball for the TD. Ohio state would have most likely won against texas had this play been made. This in turn would have almost assuredly eliminated Texas from a spot in the BCS title game. Nothing is for certain but the way things were in 2005

04:47 These are all gut wrenching plays with varying degrees of difficulty and consequences. I think this play with Irving Fryar is most consequential. Easy catch and would have been tying TD in essentially 1984 national title game. I think Nebraska scored after this but lost when they failed to convert 2 point try.
