Earlier this year, heavyweight boxer Deontay Wilder caused headlines when he blamed his loss to Tyson Fury on his walkout costume being too heavy.
The same thing is commonplace in MMA, with egos leading fighters to come up with outlandish reasons for falling short in a match. In today’s episode we look at the biggest examples.

BJ may have had a legit complaint about GSP's greasegate. The fact the UFC made changes to the rules afterwards meant there was questionable cheating involved. Besides, there is video of GSP's corner greasing his body between rounds.

The system's set up to encourage people to upload quality content as often as possible, which is impossible for me given how much time it takes to put videos together. I've teased the idea of doing a weekly live show ala Morning Kombat to keep me relevant, but it could scare off people who want a certain kind of video and I wouldn't feel comfortable doing it until I felt I had the equipment to do it right.

BJ Penn's issue with GSP was totally legitimate. Almost everyone acknowledged that GSP's corner put excess vaseline on him. Even if you doubt that it made a difference, to say it is one of the most ridiculous excuses is...ridiculous. And Sakuraba only had 2 losses when he fought Rampage. He wasn't on any sort of major losing streak. He'd lost to Silva and Igor, hardly unforgivable defeats, especially for a guy several weight classes below Fedor and 2-3 weight classes below Silva.

I'm Armenian and am the cousin of Parisian's uncle. In our culture we never ever have been in a situation where Karo was able to talk about steroid use by an appointment. I was just a kid at the time but I remember family was going nuts. He didn't want to disgrace his legacy. The issue that Karo had was the steroid use by Thiago. But in his words "I don't talk about men to the authorities, never have never will... He simply said Thiago owes us money and I will ensure he will pay us what is owed. I had curly hair back then and he rubbed my afro lol. Funny how one fight can change the path of someone with talent. I know for a fact Diego jumped on the sauce agree watching that fight.
