Doordash offended me with 3 orders in a row that would have caused me a loss. Nope.

1st LEARN how Doordash business portfolio is made of COMPARED to other GIG APPS. While other apps press both sides (drivers & customers or merchants) to win market share, Doordash WILL NEVER TOUCH the customer in terms of putting pressure (increasing price) to maximize profit. Therefore, Doordash will SQUEEZE HARD drivers by manipulating the AR, TIER (Gold, Silver game....) and Cherry picking. So it's not a surprise to see them continuously sabotaging drivers by their lie.

Yep! I got my ar rate up to 80% for a day and still got so many trash orders that I'm back down to 70% in 2 days.

Those $6 offers for 22 miles are the ones that track me up. 🤡

@@petemanning1768yep… my area is easy to maintain a 70% AR in, but every time we get close to 85%, we get a string of crap that makes my face turn red as a tomato. It also seems every area we have an opportunity to gain an AR point is where they like to shoot out those garbage orders. Supposedly the higher your AR the fewer positions you need to fill with an accept to regain the point. Lower AR folks should be getting tons of these garbage orders. Thing is, there are so many td’s here waiting for the tier program that EVERYONE gets the same amount of garbage orders no matter their AR. We have to do some nifty strategizing to get rid of the order and keep the AR at the end of the month, but we seem to all make it through unscathed. We lost TD this past month by 1 comp%. Wound up on the last day needing a few bucks for dinner, got a stacked order going 22 miles for $3.75. I forgot what day it was and wound up accepting both and immediately dropping them to keep the AR. Realized what I did nearly as fast. This month has been the worst month we’ve had in over a year when we were still cherry pickers. Orders have been rotten at best. Granted, we were able to use the comp% points to keep the AR this past week and juggle ourselves back up over 95% com%… but I think we’ve only made about 3/4 of our typical average this month while driving more miles. Where we’re typically running at $2/mile, we’re now around $1.25/mile. Decent orders aren’t hard to get here. It’s also easy to schedule if you’re not a TD… like I said, nearly everyone is a top dasher. When they pop out with the 80% AR requirement to be td or gold is when we drop that entire game and start running several different apps. DD is destroying themselves…but I don’t think they much care. They just started drone delivery service here through wing and DD and I don’t think drivers are actually in their plans for the future.

California has Proposition 22 law which guarantees minimum pay so DD will probably act accordingly and pull the carpet under yr feet... Im not in CA but anyway we all should keep this side job on its real place: on the side!

I live in Bakersfield,CA and this new update is here as well. There’s genuinely no point to maintain platinum status now that dash now is unavailable. I was platinum until that hit my market 2 days ago.

Yeah, just got 2 hours in two days being in platinum in Fresno. Just insane now, Dash now rarely shows up.

I'm Platinum also and see a big difference especially the one week I dipped back to Silver. I only work promos anyway so that helps as well

I’m in the U.S and it’s the same for me. I never activated that red card. Definitely not shopping for people lol. They have my groceries already shopped for and bagged, just like your situation. Average is about $10 an offer. 50% I get a little extra cash tips from them. 5-8 miles average as well.

Yes, DD never said they won't send bad orders to silver, gold and platinum drivers. Those tiers are prioritized to receive high paying orders, not prioritized to not receive low paying and backwards orders. People don't read the wording or want to pretend it's something else. They never, ever said you won't get bad orders with the tier levels.

I’m sorry this happened to you. If you know your area well, you can look up the address to see what area you’ll be in prior to taking an order. Don’t know your situation but if you can help it, take only orders that are worth it.. Usually people who tip so low are the worst ones.

I'm in a Diamond market, which is the exact same as the Tier when it comes to priority. I've cherry picked the whole time, I've cherry picked from day one. My AR hangs around 30%. Never tried to get top dasher. I will get high paying (Diamond) orders quite often, and I get enough good orders to meet my weekly goals. I sometimes feel like we should stop telling dashers you can still make good money with a low AR, and keep it all to ourselves. I do know that some people have top dasher only so they can work around their work and family schedule.

Apparently, not everyone has the option to opt-out in their settings menu. I know I don't, but wish I did.

@@mr.bsworld_0oo0_ Here's what you do instead. Go into app, hit the three bars on upper left (the menu) and scroll down to Red Card (click it). Mark it lost/stolen. Poof no more shop and pays. If you want if back just order another red card from DD store , they are free. I did this awhile back and no regrets.

You can also choose an option to NOT get shopping offers. I'm wondering if a driver that does this option would be getting more restaurant (perhaps even good restaurant) offers in lieu of the shopping ones.

@@kev7161 that option isn't available in all markets. The only one I can toggle on/off is cash on delivery.

@@kev7161 Not all markets have the option in app to turn off shopping (I didn't. I had to report my red card lost, and yes you get more/better restaurant orders. IMO if your AR is above 70% or even 60% its time to drop that red card or they will keeping prioritizing shop and pays, over restaurants. If you can toggle it off, by all means do so, as you can always turn it back on. If cannot toggle, then report lost. If you decide you want to shop again just get new card from DD (free). DD sent me 2 welcome kits, both had red cards when started, and I also order an extra from their website (they're free), so I still have a few spares if I want to shop again. Toggling would be easier though, if I had it in my market.

@@PyroTech-bi2ug Nice to hear, but for me where I live is between heaven n hell, I had have ghetto customers say to me ''hurry up'' and to only get there delivering him his chipolte meal to get a 50 cents in a tip!!! I just look at there address and have learned over time to judge them where they live and judge the offer to see if its worth my time. My goal is to break 200 a shift or day for my time!

Id feel that would be out of protocol but correct me if Im wrong? That would be like the customer asking if hey can you pick me up some vodka! The only way you're spoofing location for GPS is with a jailbroken android. Jailbroken iPhones are becoming rare since many apps will not run on IOS 14 or earlier.

It almost doesn't matter..if they give you a great mileage to pay ratio the algorithm will align it back up before your scheduled shift ends. The only way there to stay ahead a little is to hit end Dash and then start over.. otherwise it's going to milk it back in the end

I agree.. I stopped Dd just below the $600 mark. Don’t want a 1099 sent to me.. doing Uber eats.. it’s worse with offers and way less offers.. I definitely cherry pick and normally do the grocery delivery for Walmart. Pays more usually

Dash Now is the problem, u dont get it without platinum... Most markets are oversaturated of drivers and more and more come everyday... We should all and i mean all dashers - throw DD in the dumpster... I see restaurants like Dominos retiring their own driver to have DD (us) make the dirty job

The markets that have the tier status… Silver, Gold and Platinum don’t give you the option to toggle off the shop and pay orders in the dasher preferences. You have to drive to a market that is still on the old “Top Dasher” status. I do it all the time. I have the shop and pay toggled off and have for the past month.

@@kendigProductions Not true. Tiers aren't in my market yet and I did not have option to toggle. I just reported card lost. Just like anything DD does, not every option they put out is in every market. Also depends if you have IOS or Android. They have diff options as well.

@@vikings7683 fair enough. I have IOS and in my market you can toggle the shop and pay feature on and off depending on what area your in. It could be the next town over and you lose that feature. That’s why I Dash in an area where you have that option to turn it off because most of the shop and pay orders out here are way too many items and too many miles for the pay. It’s nice to have that choice but I see some don’t.

Yeah they staring to pop up more often in my market as well. Also another new feature here, is seeing a preview pic of drop off, before you drop off to make sure you are at correct address. Funny thing is I went out tonight and did like 14 deliveries and 3 of the 14 previews, were pics I took. These were of course all usual customers (the 3). I know they are my pics to, because I have a unique hot bag I use to dash. I think DD should pay me for using my pics as the standard. lol They probably pick picture by if customer gave you a 5 star, as that would mean everything went ok and address/picture, is correct. As mentioned all 3 were customers I deliver to a lot.

Door Dash needs to be suggesting higher tips and especially higher tips based on miles to be driven. Sure a customer can put in their own tip amount, but most people are lazy and will simply choose one of the suggested options.

I've found since I live on an island and there is always decent traffic on the bridges on or off the island, driving by time isn't bad.

They only pay on the actual time you are doing an order, not waiting or driving back to your "hot spot". They toss every rejected no tip, long miles order. You end up below min. Wage after gas expenses

In one of the previous videos he said he doesn't have the 100 deliveries in the last 30 days.

I’ve been a platinum dasher for 2 months…the orders are the same garbage! In that 2 months I’ve seen 2 LOPs & spend the majority of my time taking trash to mediocre orders trying to Keep my AR in the 70s!
