I think mastodon was really easy on you dude they seem like nice guys with a lot of patience and still kept this interview entertaining. They aren't trying to be assholes it's just the questions are utterly bad and you don't seem to understand their sense of humor, which is okay. Probably just the difference in culture.

Ich denke deine Art zu fragen war auch etwas provokant, ohne dass du das womöglich beabsichtigt hast.. Bzw. vielleicht hast du vieles ironisch gemeint aber durch die Sprachbarriere ist es nicht so rüber gekommen... Noch dazu klang es, als wärst du recht uninformiert über die Band gewesen (und ich bin mir sicher das war nicht so).. Dazu kommt, dass beide keine richtige Lust hatten über das Album zu reden. Zum Beispiel fragst du, ob das neue Album gut ist.. Das ist ja eine "dumme" Frage die du vermutlich auch nicht ernst gemeint hast aber nachdem sie einmal nicht drauf geantwortet haben, stellst du sie nochmal.. Also gehen sie davon aus, du meinst es ernst und antworten mit Ja... Dann fragst du so nach dem Motto "Wenn es so gut ist, könnt ihr danach ja aufhören" und milderst es dann ab durch den Humor "weil ja allen die Köpfe wegfliegen und dann alle tot sind und keiner mehr was kaufen kann"... Macht aber die provokante Aussage nicht weniger "provozierend" - klingt eben nach "und habt ihr noch Ideen ober wars das langsam mit euch". Dann fragst du was sie sich von den Fans im Publikum wünschen und er sagt sowas wie "Ich muss mich konzentrieren beim Spielen und bekomme nicht so viel vom Publikum mit" worauf du dann wieder provokant "Und dafür spielst du live?" quasi unterschwellig ergänzend "wenn dich das Publikum nicht interessiert?!" etc. Ich will jetzt nicht das ganze Interview durchgehen aber deine Fragen kamen an vielen Stellen eben nicht gut rüber und da gehen die Interview-Partner (verständlicherweise) in eine Verteidigungshaltung. Auf deutsch ist es einfacher Humor rüber zu bringen. Aber das hast du ja auch selbst schon gemerkt. Finde es aber alles in allem keine Schande wie du im Intro meinst. Den Menschen, der bei jedem gut ankommt und der jedermanns Humor trifft, gibt es nicht. Zum Glück.. Der wäre mir unsympathisch :D

Und gerade habe ich das Bedürfnis sie einfach nur selbst zu Interviewen mit meinem gewandten Englisch.

They are sarcastic and ironic, and they love it when interviewers let them be this way! Don't feel bad, this was good for them! If I were you, I would immediately re-upload this video without the introduction or ending part where you apologize! Watch more videos with them, they are hilarious, and so is this!

it seems the questions are the bigger problem than the answers. they are probably expecting questions about the album & music & instead being asked pointless questions which they don't want to waste their own time with.

vllt ein bisschen komplizierte gesprächspartner aber alex du solltest echt stark an deinem englisch arbeiten. also bitte nich beleidigt sein aber du hast ne sehr deutsche grammatik drin und manchmal redewendungen die man oft im englischen so nicht benutzt. manche fragen klingen auch so als würdest du jetzt endlich mal was gutes von ihnen erwarten was das neue album angeht, weil der rest nur kacke war. ansonsten schon der richtige ansatz, aber von irgendwem vllt in zukunft gegenlesen lassen wenn du dir was zurechtlegst, dass nich irgendwelche komischen sachen drin sind
