Monetarily. A lot is Bischoff's fault but Paul literally has no foot to stand on that. At least Bischoff never bounced a check unlike that lying cheapskate Heyman. I still cringe when I see Sid's leg break like that. The poor bugger. Every time WWE mentioned David Flair (around when Charolotte started), nothing came to my mind. After watching this, now I remember why LOL. He had terrible charisma in the ring and was way over hyped at the time. I suppose everyone expected a bit more from him (than just being Ric's son). WCW was about all there was in Australia back around this time. WWF was only putting out highlight shows on free to air like "Heat" and "Velocity" that were crap (and they were generally on late). I missed a lot of the "Wars" as Raw and Smackdown just wasn't televised here unless you had cable (it was only just starting up here around then and was even more expensive than it already was if it was satellite). Although its amazing how no ones been able to bring WCW back to life (first TNA got close and now AEW is trying).

@@BigK0003 Interestingly enough, AEW may very well turn into WCW 2.0, but not in a good way. Things in AEW aren't going so smoothly. Tony Khan appears to be doing what Vince was doing with WWE. The WWE was on the verge of a downfall. But they bounced back. Now AEW is going down that same path. What's happening in AEW is practically a combination of what led to WCW's downfall, and what nearly killed WWE.

How could they expect him to do a move like that...at his size and ability. He told them that he didn't think he could do the move and he was right. That would be like telling Big show to keep doing moonsaults even though he could crush someone. If you know that you have someone who stays grounded when they wrestle its probably because they can't fly from being too heavy. Why didn't they tell Kevin Nash to do aerial moves...because they knew he could do them. So why make someone like Sid do anything off the ropes. You literally made him break his leg. Im sorry but WWE booked sid so much better and they always made sure to play within his strength...which was being a powerhouse...not a legit superstar, but a mean unintentionally funny character with a face only a mother could love. That was Sid...not a high flyer, but a good worker that did his job and then went and played softball.

I watched WCW from 1995 til its end because it was mainly WWF talent from the 80s. After it folded I tried WWF again but gave up on wrestling until WOW came.

I started watching WCW in mid 1996, I stopped [regrettably because I should've been more loyal] throughout 1999. Noticed in this video & during a two-year span ['96-'98] when WCW was at is very best/peak there wasn't a single bad match reference? Shows how DRASTICALLY the product killed itself.

It’s pretty clear Russo killed WCW 20+ years later still talking bout WCW.

I am kinda surprised that the finger poke of DOOM match wasn't on the list I also am surprised that Goldberg VS Bret Hart wasn't number 1 or 2

Regarding that last match, given that it was Hogan Russo was talking about, shouldn't you change that to "definition of character"?

The talent in WCW to think all they had to do was book matches that ppl wanted to see and not have some stupid angle.

What I learned about WCW is that they relied to much on comedy. Thinking that they are smart. They relied on WWE talent to carry the show, divas showing nudity and not let the Cruiserweights a spot of the lime light. Like when Kevin Nash won against Mysterio they made a mockery out the sport. Like a fit guy going all fat and letting it hang out.

Major Gunns vs Miss Hancock at WCW new blood rising 2000 was a great match stacy keibler was awesome in-ring in WCW and WWE the fact that it took place 24-years ago is so crazy to me glad stacy got inducted into the wwe hall of fame last year she truly deserves it.

Seeing the match as an adult now, I like to think that Stacy was trying her best out there. Her high flying heel approach looked impressive against a plodding Major Gunns, who probably could’ve used more training. I always thought MG was buffer for some reason, but it’s kinda amusing to me to see how short she was compared to Stacy(who was probably over six feet in those boots).

What about any of the matches Russo booked himself in? One of them had him getting legit concussed when Goldberg speared him out of a cage and even though he was wearing a hockey helmet, it came loose and his head hit the audience barricade.

Well done, at least by wrestlelamia. Common thread was Vince Russo. He sucked so bad anytime I hear anyone say they are adding Russo to the craetive team I just lose interest.
