Are you thinking of moving to Sudbury, Ontario? | Sudbury doesn't have any areas that end up on the list of the worst neighbourhoods in Canada but today I'll break down a few areas you might want to avoid living.
As always, the opinions I express in this video are my own. I understand that the affordability in these neighbourhoods tends to be more accessible for all. My only intentions are to provide useful information for those looking to move into the area!

I grew up on Ramsey rd by bell park 😂 , left in 1979 and never went back lol in Alberta for 40 years .

I keep telling people that I live between sketchy and sketchy. Half way between the downtown city bus terminal and the Donovan. NEVER leave anything outside, as it will disappear. (neighbours have lost bikes, outdoor BBQs ...) Even stealing my cigarette butt jar every now and then. If you have never lived in a smaller city, downtown, or close to downtown, is NOT for you. There is a lot of crime in this city. (drugs, money, prostitution ....) There was a recent shooting at my local pub a few Fridays back. (Overtime on Notre Dame. And this isn't even downtown!)

Hi! Yeah, theres always crime in every city. Petty crimes in Sudbury have been declining but a few larger crimes have happend although they are due to our proximity to Toronto.

Correct. Where we live (Van Horne area), we get visitors every couple of days, depending on the weather. They usually just sift through the recycling bin and steal cigarette butts.

Very well explained! I was born here and back in the late 90’s hookerville was Elgin st just down from the arena. I couldn’t beleive when I moved back here in 2020 that Kathleen st between Melvin and Frood is the worst part! Hookers and drug addicts out in the open galore! I lived on Eva st up on the hill on the other side of the bridge and it was quiet back then. Soo sad. It is a very nice looking area just too bad it’s full of drug usage and prostitution and needle dispensable bins. Your def right about the e cheap rent too. I was just looking at a 4 bedroom house on Kijiji for 1800$!!

Listen, you dont want to live in the city. It's gross and in the past five years, has been littered with immigrants from the africa region, and they're not just here for school since school is out and they are still here. Compound that with the crazy amount of hard drug users specifically by the bus stop area. The desirable places are the suburbs around the city. The further away, the better.

Hi!! Looking forward to having you in Sudbury. Gatchell is what I call a B area. Its mixed. Lots of nice homes but also mixed in with some low income rentals. All in all safe place! I lived there for many years.

Chain down your belongings or they grow legs and walk away. And don’t bother calling GSP they‘lol tell you they can’t do anything! Our quad got stolen by a angry will monger/family member. She stole the ownership and transferred it to her name and the cops let her take it! No investigation. Yup 👍🏻 go sudbury!

You didn’t talk about the Flour Mill 😂 just the Donovan. Flour Mill I find is worst than the Donovan. The Balmoral is the worst building in Sudbury.

Parkwood is good! Its what I call a B area. A lot of nice well maintained homes with a few slum landlord buildings. All in all, good area.

I was born and grew up in Sudbury but left in 1991. Even back n my day the Donovan was a rough area but there were no prostitutes on Kathleen St. I never knew it has gotten worse

Hi Jansi! I am currently working on a video that talks about the best places to raise a family. The southend is the the most expensive but "Safest" most popular family neighborhood. Right behind it, you have New Sudbury, which encompasses a large geographical area. Then minnow lake and then west end. GIve me a shout when you move here and me and my team can help you out!

Bloor is considered uptown. Which is technically still the Donovan, but a good part. Are you investing in Sudbury or moving?

I lived on Antwerp 5-6 houses from Kathleen for 6yrs, it wasn't that bad, live in Winnipeg now, the Donovan does not hold a candle to Weston,North End or West End Winnipeg when it comes crime,drugs, prostitution, burglary etc

The downtown area has become a complete disaster over the past 30 years. I'd avoid it like the plague.

It's not quite that bad! Lots of great cafe's and restaurants! But there are a few negatives!

I've lived in every province in Canada sudbury is by far not the worst City for crime and drugs or Prostitutes I live in the donovand It's supposedly the worst area in Sudbury. It's actually pretty d*** good I've seen wayworse in much smaller cities

Morin is actually one of the better streets in the Donovan. Dead end street and not much traffic!

No you didn’t exaggerate.. Sudbury has become a dive.. specially after the bigger fails mayor. Now it’s no better. Spend spend spend. Sudbury has yet to recover. It’s two thumbs down for me. 👎🏻👎🏻

High TAXATION High corruption High clown council High criminal activity High theft High drug and drunk drivers getting caught daily. High disfunction at TDS High abandoned building. High Dept High road deterioration Construction is milked from TDS COW 🐮 (buddy system) High city official corruption. High buddy tax breaks! Just to name a few problems here. Now you wanna promote this place!? Good luck try telling the truth. Must have lotsa money to live here. Everything is expensive.. they all think we work at the mines.

@@edwinndungu609 Awesome! For jobs you can reach out to WORKFORCE, and they have many general laborour jobs that are good paying. Also, for appartments I am working on something to help immigrants move into Sudbury and Canada! I could possibly help with a 1 bedroom depending when you get here!
