QPR fan here. Good analysis, I think you're right when you say that Leeds sat back too much in the opening quarter. It's easy to say in retrospect, though - QPR are above Leeds in the last 6 matches form table, and many other managers would also have adopted a cautious approach, given the importance of the match, counting on getting a win over the 90 as a result of having a superior strike force. I thought that QPR were almost flawless tonight. Good luck in the playoffs (unless Ipswich trip up)

Tbf QPR played extraordinarily well during periods. One touch keeping the ball for long periods. You came up against a confident team with lots of players putting themselves onto the shop window for a new contract. I mean to concede to Dykes is practically a freak event.

We have not played well since the international break, we have been on a downward spiral. When we need our team to step it up they let us down. Farke for me should have been rotating the squad better to keep every one fresh. When plan A is not working then you should have a plan B and change things tactically. Disapointed and flaming fuming. Underestimated QPR big time. That was the best football I've seen Rangers play at home this season. Looked very comfortable. Leeds looked barely a threat all game.

QPR supporter here.. I told everyone we was going to win this game, but not just win but win by a lot. You had a midweek away game and we had fresh legs. I absolutely knew you would look down at the table at us and massively underestimate us. The fact is we've always had some decent players, but rubbish managers. Now we actually have a decent manager and if you look at our form since he took over we are a top 6 team! We play better when we have a point to prove, just like when we beat Leicester away.. we love these kind of games. Plus it was never in your hands even if you did win, promotion is decided on Ipswich's results as they can achieve more points than you.

My Take on it is that Farke has lost the dressing room since BB, piroe was getting a lot of stick on the pitch from Gnonto and Summerville, rutter was dire should have been pulled at half time along with Piroe, the midfield as in the boro game was non existent, but to lose so badly and meekly tells me all I need to know about this team, and I 'am afraid all my predictions have come true, we will be knocked out of the playoffs in the first round and it's another year in this league, with reduced parachute payments and to be honest, I don't care if the "so called" better players leave, they are not as good as they think they are. As a QPR fan I have to admit that I thought we were going to lose. Leeds has had a fantastic run, and even though we have done well, I thought that we would lose. How wrong I was, but how delighted also. It is a mountain to climb, but something to think about especially now that we are coming to the end of the season. You could well make it.

It's the morning after, we didn't turn up at all. My one takeaway without dissecting every play is this, We had no Maturity on the pitch. Particularly up front and in the 10. For all the skill of Gnonto and Summerville they lose their heads when it isn't going their way. Gnonto particularly had his wrong head on from the start.

QPR have been shit for much of the season , but we have some quality players and under our new manager - we are a different beast to what we were in august - GL for the last game .

I wasn’t going to whine too much about the lack of rotation, since we continued to get results with almost the same XI all season. But l was worried about it for a while and sure enough it’s come back to bite us. How do you expect a 17 yr old in his debut first-team season to play all 46 games? Why wasn’t Cresswell part of the rotation, especially once Struijk went down? Why haven’t we seen Joseph when Piroe and Bamford were not finding the net? The lack of rotation means that now, when you need the captain to come into the midfield to shore things up and take ownership, you can’t move him in there because you can’t count on Cresswell to replace him cuz he hasn’t played all season. Farke doesn’t trust Joseph to start over an anonymous Piroe because he hasn’t played him throughout the season. It’s just poor management that’s led to this. Our best players are gassed at the end of the season because they haven’t been rested, and they put in a dreadful performance as a result

Geldhart was always a better bet than Piroe. Yet he left the lad out all season, FARKE NEEDS QUESTIONING maybe this is why he couldn't do it in the PREMIERSHIP.......!

QPR fan here - saw the game down here in South Africa. I know it could be due to perception but every time they focused on your coach he was sitting down, hunched down in his seat - while Marti was standing up and motivating the Rangers team at every opportunity. QPR under Marti Cifuentes is a different kettle of fish to QPR under that waste of space Gareth Ainsworth. Under Marti Rangers had earned 42 points in 30 matches (now 45 in 31). The Championship is an exciting, difficult league to predict - you underestimate your opponents at your peril. I think there was a bit of complacency in the Leeds camp - they never got off the bus, not that it bothered me. In fairness I still think Leeds will still go up - even if they might have to do it via the playoffs.

QPR here. Yes Leeds didn't press. The Chair first goal was almost slow motion - every R knew exactly what he was going to do, trundle up on the slight angle, shimmy to the right and curl shot to the right corner (deflection thanks v much) but Leeds just stood off. But you like Leeds I think also slipped into the mistake of looking at Rs' position and thinking they're rubbish. They were. But a notional 2024 table has Leeds top and Rs' 5th.

Leeds remembered that they're Leeds United, the team who do well against strong teams and throw away games that are thought of as easy... I'm glad i fell asleep asleep 20 minutes into the game, wasn't worth staying up after those first 2 goals

I've been a fan for over 30 years and we all know what we have lived through all these years. For me this was Watford 2006 all over again. I get that the lads are young but if you go out on the pitch without "Billy Brenner's barmy army" ringing in your head then you don't understand this club and you don't deserve to win. No heart, no guts, no b***s, that's not my Leeds United. Just like we will never stop loving this club so should the players never stop fighting on the pitch! MOT (and they should really ask themselves what that actually means.)

Very restrained. All valid points, but the truth is these results have been coming for some months. Everyone got hyped on the run before Christmas,which was a good period, but since then - even during the period of unbeaten games we got lucky in several of those, or the teams we played were really poor and still we scraped some results. Look at the teams that have beaten us this season, all but Southampton we should (as Leeds) be winning. We won’t get promoted now and I’m glad as I actually prefer no VAR, and perhaps the new owners will realise now that Farke is not a good in-game manager.

I do feel you haven't read the form book and a bit demeaning to a good side that have improved greatly. I still think when Leeds get their injured players back they will go up if it has to be via playoffs so be it.

If only we were on the level of your analysis we’d be fine. Full credit to QPR and obviously Farke is feeling the Leeds pressure now and making strange decisions. Form is everything and Joseph should have started the last couple of games(if not from the beginning of the season!) I’ve a lot of respect for Piroe as he came to the club as a striker and ended up playing most of the season behind the striker and never spat his dummy out but his form is terrible, Bamford form terrible what is Farke doing? And no I don’t want him sacked I want him to stay and put things right but we’re going to lose so many players as we stay in the championship. Heart breaking

Do you think that all the players we had playing for there national teams has had a huge impact this season probably the most internationals then all the other teams in the championship. Up to that game, QPR could have lost the last 2 games and gone down if other teams had won. So, from a QPR perspective, it had to be a win. We've been scrapping out results like mad. I honestly thought Leeds would have shown up. You didn't and got punished by a committed QPR team. Good luck with the remaining games.

I don't mind them faltering now, it would be a fairly miserable season if this team got promoted. They would get humped week in week out. Leicester, Ipswich and whoever will really struggle, the gulf between Championship and Premiership is bigger than ever. Just ask Burnley, Sheffield Utd and Luton.

If you wanna get promoted then you can't lose to QPR, Stoke, Blackburn, Sunderland, Coventry, Birmingham, Preston. We did the double over Ipswich and Leicester and yet lose to struggling teams? There's something wrong there, that's a lack of honesty. It's your manager's job to keep you honest. The fact is Farke doesn't have the bottle to handle a club as big as Leeds. Heckingbottom got Sheffield United up, but he was a disaster with us. To say we have exciting attacking players, we've been pretty boring to watch for a lot of the season and it's caught up with us.

Middlesbrough last 20 minutes taught all teams how to beat Leeds, you just run at them like school football, they dont tackle, they back off, I can see us losing the next game and all play off games as they are now totally exposed.

When they lost to Coventry on April 6th, it was obvious that they'd been exposed. They only have one way of playing, but it's dependent on a forward line that's inconsistent and full of prime donnas. They won't win a single game in the playoffs
