While I was never a huge fan of Wade Barret’s “Wasteland Slam” I never really hated it. What Did bug me was when he would do it, the dude kicks out, and then the commentary team go “Hiw did he kick out of the wasteland slam!?” And I’m just like, ok. -_-

It was for a short time but Priest with the the Reckoning going from a rolling cutter to a flatliner it sucked just because Cody had a Rolling Cutter doesn't mean other wrestlers can't have it as their finisher if that's the case that only 1 wrestler can have the same move as their finisher and another wrestler can't have that move as their finisher then Roman Reigns, Goldberg, and Edge can't all have the spear as a finisher and only 1 stays at the finisher to the 1 staying superstar

Big Show “KO Punch” isn’t a bad finisher… in real life if big show hits you with one of those you’re knocked out.. the problem is, if he can just 1 punch you why doesn’t he just try to hit it at every chance he gets? but than you have to remember they’re story telling so they have to go through the sequences

Becky's is pretty good in my opinion. I feel like she performs it well enough that I don't think about it being a Rock copycat as much in recent years (Plus, it's an easy move to sell, so you'd have to be pretty bad to make it look weak). Agreed with the rest tho

Theory's old finisher ("TKO") is used by quite a few wrestlers... It's a bit of a can't go wrong / safety-net / bottom shelf wine... While the 'ATL' is a bit meh, at least it's original... and it's no 'Rear View' or 'Santino Cobra' :D Oh, and in 'The Punchline', he drives the opponent's head into the mat with a bit of force... I don't see much of a problem with it.

I don’t know why, but I always thought that a drop kick in the face from outta nowhere would do a great finisher. Like, imagine you’re trying to ram on someone and boom, you get a drop kcik to the face from outta nowhere. For example: if Finn Bálor beats Roman Reigns, imagine Roman is yelling before going for the spear, he goes for it and then, Finn hits him with a drop kick to the face from outta nowhere and goes for the coup de grace.

why do people hate on the Big Show's punch? We are talking about a giant that charges a punch full force on the chin to KO his opponent the difference between that and the normal punch during matches is very obvious to me and also I find the selling and execution when it happens pretty believable

Technology with Big Show KO punch does kinda have a back story. B4 he came back they did say he was Training in Boxing. It may be a bit sappy but realistically if anyone trained in Boxing their punches with be stonger than b4 the training.

I think the rock people elbow works. This is part of it not all of it. But I think the people elbow works because the rock has the rock bottom as well. So it’s not just the one finisher it’s both of them that makes the rock so great.

One Word: Riptide. Seriously, why is that a finisher? It is just a Pumphandle Slam. Her version as a tag maneuver with Nikki A.S.H. was so much better. Just add a backbreaker element to it and you've already got a 100% better finisher.

Natural Selection is good but requires a good seller, otherwise it looks like she just tripped. I mean like it is the type of move that needs an oversell. I don’t think it is possible to oversell it too much.

I used to get annoyed with "blow" finishers too- power punch, big boot, The Close line from hell, etc. These days, I don't mind it so much because the style of wrestling has changed, it's much more "strong style" and MMA esque, no doubt because of the influence of Having Japanese stars and former MMA fighters on the roster. Plus, combat sports is proof that a person can take several punches before they are knocked out. Given all this, it does bug me so much anymore.

1) Roll up. Don't think it's his actual finisher. Thought it was the Heat Seeker elbow or something. The Tight Rope Elbow Drop. Haven't been too sure of what Xavier's finishers are besides the Honour Roll. I don't know if Lost in the Woods has been an actual finisher. I just see his finishers in the games and assume its correct. 2) ATL. Yeah I'm not too fond of it. Was more fond of the move when Tye Dillinger was performing it but the original Tye Breaker was still better and I wasn't too familiar with him. I'm not too familiar with Austin either, I haven't watched every single match but I've seen a lot to know his previous finishers and they are just far better. Ataxia might be awkward on larger guys but overall I'd prefer Ataxia or the original ATL. This like a crap GTS. And I don't get why multiple people can't have similar or the same moves. 60 people use the Superkick yet Dolph still wins with it and 5 or 6 people use the Spear. 2) Natural Selection. Think that the problem is how she performs it. She used to hook her arm around their neck so it was like a front flip cutter. Now she hooks her arm like a Bulldog and flips looking a bit odd. It doesn't look right and looks better on bent over opponents than kneeling ones. 4) Women's Right. The pun works but don't think a pun should set it as a finisher. If it was a signature I probably wouldn't mind it but even still, at least Nia actually hurt someone to make her punches more credible. 5) Overdrive. Not sure if it counts. Don't think MVP has had a match yet in 2022 but yeah. Doesn't work. Might be an OK arm move but not a finisher. 6) Punchline. I like the move but unfortunately I don't think that it'll work in real life with how dangerous it can be. Especially if the opponent gets spiked on their head. And the opponent can't protect themselves like the standard version so might be one of those moves to keep in video games honestly. 7) Manhandle Slam. This move sucks and I don't even want to put it near the Rock Bottom. The Rock Bottom is a far superior move. There's 1 major flaw with the move. How to perform it. No one knows how to. See in the beginning it was a Pumphandled version of the Rock Bottom. Meaning that she has to hook the opponents arm between their legs. And that's where the name came from as its a word play. Pumphandle Slam, Manhandle Slam. But it's shuffled so much between if the pumphandle is still part of the move or not. Sometimes she hooks the arm, sometimes she doesn't. And that confusion just makes the move so awkward. Try jumping with an arm between your legs with no one holding you. She really needs something else. 8) Rear View. I remember Goldust having this move in the old games. But overall it just doesn't work. She's had much better moves to use as a primary finisher. I don't know why this keeps becoming her main one. 9) Twisted Bliss. Not sure if it's still her finisher. Think that Sister Abigail DDT is her finisher now but not sure. Its fine guess. I never really had any issues with it. 10) Nigerian Nail. Have no idea why the Samoan Spike got brought back. Even with Umaga, people weren't keen on it. Think that they came up with the name first and move later. Definitely needs replacing. 11) Crossbody. The move isn't bad, it can be a more impactful diving splash and it does look impactful from better wrestlers and sellers. But Nikki's finishers seem to get progressively worse. She had 2 versions of The Purge in NXT which were pretty good. Fisherman's Neckbreaker and Top Rope Hanging Swinging Neckbreaker. But then in the main roster she had a dialed down version of the main Purge just clutching the arm before swinging which still looked good but now she just does a Crossbody that everyone else does but worse. Good finisher for its time but not really a good choice. 12) Diving Splash. More a case of the performer than the move. Rey Mysterio, The Uso's, Gunther, Montez Ford, the list goes on for people that have used a diving splash or variation and looked good. The diving splash and Samoan Drop seems to be assigned the generic Samoan move. Which I guess makes sense with the name but still.
