From the start, Joe DeLoss built his small-but-mighty restaurant team unconventionally, recruiting and investing in employees who had been incarcerated or homeless. As Hot Chicken Takeover grew, so did this mission.

I’m from Nashville so hot chicken is in my veins. I now live in ohio. I’ve tried this place. It really misses the mark of hot chicken. However I do love their hiring practices.

Well they got bought out mid 2022, so if you've only moved to Columbus recently or only had their chicken after they sold, it's probably why. The dining experience is not what it used to be when they first got off the ground and was growing with Joe at the helm. Felt like it lost its heart and soul along with the sale.
