I develop games and I hate it when people say "you can't criticize game devs because you haven't developed games yourself". It is our job to listen to feedback and take it into account. I am pretty sure even my friends in culinary will tell you the customer doesn't have to be a master chef to tell you your food tastes weird. Imagine if politicians shut down criticism by saying the average citizen is ignorant of politics. Oh wait...

MIKE: If I came up to someone who is committing a killing, they're a master murderer and I look at them and say, "What are you doing man, that looks so weird?" In my brain I can not understand any reason why you'd do that. It doesn't seem safe, or wise. But there's a little part of me, a little voice in my head, that says, "Mike, you don't know anything about this killing; or committing killings. You just glanced at it and you made a judgment. This is the master murderer, you should just let him do his job." A little voice in his head says "Mike, you don't know anything". That part is right, but otherwise he shouldn't listen to voices in his head.

I am sure apprentice and fellow masons make mistakes on their way to becoming masons, but all we know of from this “master world builder” is mistakes. He made a perfect garden, and left the world-ruining fruit right where someone would eat it. He made this beautiful planet full of his favorite creations, and had to drown everything because it wasn’t right. He somehow got his favorite folks enslaved for a couple hundred years, then botched nearly every step of getting them free. Then he forgot there were tenants on the land he saved for his favorites, and instead of flooding them away, he got a bunch of his favorites killed while eliminating the tenants. He wiped out multiple settlements because they didn’t work right. He couldn’t keep his angels in order, and one of them set up a competing shop. He sent his son down to fix things and intentionally committed filicide as his solution. A mason would never make it to master with this kind of embarrassing record. I guess the qualifications were lowered for the job of God.

That feel when Mike both believes his deity is a mysterious, incomprehensible being, and also definitely absolutely knows for certain exactly what this mysterious and incomprehensible being both wants and intends to do. Walking that fine line of both absolutely knowing and being completely ignorant of his deity has to be rough.

Mike Winger is stupid. When I was around twelve, I was watching the man pouring our new concrete driveway. He was doing a poor job and I told that to my mother. She told me that he knew what he was doing and to not bother her about it. When the job was finished, she was most unhappy with the results. She admitted that I'd been correct, but the damage was done. It's still there today.

Oh there's a wall... made of packed earth, right in front of what appears to be a collapsed hill of said earth. Oh and there's absolutely no tool marks and the wall has the irregularities that you'd expect a naturally formed wall to have. And there standing in front of said wall is a man insisting that a wall requires a wall builder and you must contribute to the wall building fund that that man happens to completely manage (on behalf of the mason of course). AND the man insists that the mason happens to hate the same people he coincidentally hates and if you don't hate them as well the mason will drop a rock on your head from somewhere up there far above you.

Master masons like all master craftsman create masterpieces that work perfectly. Not crappy things that go wrong fall apart that can be made by nearly everyone. Crappie like us humans with defects within us that fall can kill us. If there was a creator he's no master anything 😂 More like bottom of the class/high school drop out.

Message for Mike: There is not one major structure from the ancient world that was not built by slaves.

@@printface4935 I believe the pyramids were built by a well looked after skilled workforce. It has always been assumed that they were slave built, but, my understanding is that the evidence is pretty flimsy. Though, I stand to be corrected.

He can’t seem to comprehend that even if a god existed, it could very well be a god that is not all good. Why does he believe the god is all god in the first place?

I'd say to poor Mike: suit yourself, you're the one who's going to live your eternal afterlife in the attic of that house of which you already admit that the walls are questionable... maybe this would be helpful to Mike: imagine if you had a Ferrari, and you could park it everywhere, would you park it right next to that wall? or would you park it far enough away?

The ancients were just as intelligent as we are (if not more so, given that the selection pressure on humans today primarily favors resistance to disease and stress). However, they didn't have the instruments to probe the world with anything more than their innate senses, and their recorded knowledge reflects that limitation. If a "higher power" of some kind truly had communed with ancient people, that being/entity could have trivially left an unambiguous sign for the benefit of the industrial civilization that followed. How about something like, "water is one of the eighth plus two of the first-you don't know what this saying means yet, but memorize it and write it down?" Or maybe, "cleanse your hands frequently with a solution of water and a form of fat rendered and combined with lye." The possibilities are unbounded, but we don't seem to find any wisdom in ancient texts that was outside the bounds of human comprehension when the authors composed them. Apologists have to make hay out of a few anachronisms or heavily reinterpreted poetry. A group of people in communion with the Creator would have an insurmountable advantage over others and not famously be oppressed or excluded.

Man is the head of the family, as Jesus is the head of the church. Ephesians 5:23 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. Timothy 2:12 Women just can’t catch a break in the big book of historical and scientific inaccuracies.

I wouldn't be so sure about how "nice" the Amish are. They might ACT nice to some outsiders because they make all their money from the sale of goods and services so if course they're going to act nice when they want you to buy stuff. There's a KZfaqr who grew up Amish and his channel talks about the Amish community he came from. One of his videos talks about how "nice" they really are behind closed doors and why he left that cult.

I live near "Amish country" and they routinely have their puppy mills closed down for cruelty to animals, and they are huge hypocrites, because they are not supposed to use modern tech, and they try to fake out their god by hiring drivers to drive them around, own lumber mills, farms and what not with great machinery but of course you can't say they are using any of it, because they hire low paid laborers to use it, but then again, they can't resist cell phones, and many of them have one they can't keep their hands off of... And what's with all of the chastity and abstinence BS when all of the females clothing are sheer, and show off their every curve.
