Much like "Jurassic Park" where the dinosaurs don't show up when wanted, and the ride is boring, I suspect that the surroundings might be boring as well for a time. Some folks might well die bored because they never saw the carnivore that was stalking them.

I would have to agree. If paleontologists went back to see Dinosaurs we would not be disappointed at all and in fact I think Dinosaurs would exceed our expectations. Now if you're interest's don't go beyond the movies you would be very disappointed.

If they all look like giant birds i'll admit, i will be disappointed, but giant birds are kinda cool too though

I'd agree a little if the dinosaurs were more reptilian and had nuetral coloring with limited feathers or hair...

I like dinosaurs but my Jurassic Park ended at 3, as KotM is the only movie I like in the Monsterverse.

I have a most excellent book called "Dinosaur Hunter" by Steve White. It is a guide book for time traveling hunters with background and accounts of hunting trips to various periods. I think it answers the question you asked, it would be extremely dangerous but worth the risk.

@PrehistoricMagazine I actually checked eBay UK for you. There's a second hand copy there for £3.48. I honestly recommend the book, especially at that price. I've read it many times. The hypothetical time travel company allow hunters to travel to 5 time periods from the triassic to the cretaceous to hunt dinos. You get info on the flora & fauna and then one of the hunters recollections of the time they spent there (spoiler: it usually ends with someone in a sticky situation and not necessarily the daspletosaurus/rugops or other theropod). If you buy it and enjoy it please reply here to let me know. It's not the greatest book ever but it is one you can enjoy over and over if the idea of going back to the jurassic appealls (which it does to me - especially with a Holland & Holland .577 nitro express or similar). It's full title is "Dinosaur Hunter: the ultimate guide to the biggest game" by Steve White.
